❓Do you consider yourself a beginner or expert when it comes to points redemptions? What has been your top few redemptions?👇

I consider myself a beginner. However I'm extremely obsessed with the game and actually helped a family member book a round trip flight to Asia for only 84K points when he would have had to pay $1920. While it's not the insane business class type redemption, it saved him a lot of money out of pocket.

@@soapa4279 Still a solid redemption!

You do a great job explaining how to get more from your points and miles. I appreciate the way you break it down and give examples of what you did. Thank you.

Thanks a ton! Hopefully you're able to have some amazing redemptions as well!

Thanks so much for this video. I just scored a Berlin-->Dallas Air France business class ticket - 60,000 for 4+CPP. It was a difficult route to find deals on but seats.aero and air france helped. It's also on their newly remodeled A350-900. Great videos and looking forward to more :)

Nicee! 60k points for that routing is always a solid deal. Were you able to take advantage of the recent Flying Blue transfer bonuses for that too?
@isaiahbaggett501410 күн бұрын
@@KevinYang no, I'm with capital one :/ I'm based in Dallas and Denver, and have found good deals an enjoy the lounges, but I'll be looking for a card to add with better transfers and bonuses next year.
@KevinYang10 күн бұрын
@@isaiahbaggett5014 Sounds like a plan! Still have yet to visit either of those cities and check out those lounges

Hey I had a quick question. The Venture X does not give 5% cash back or 10% on hotels when using the 300 travel credit. Does the Amex platinum card do the same when using the travel credits they give you?
@KevinYang15 күн бұрын
Actually had to double check, but yes! I see a recent transaction from last year giving me 5x points on an FHR purchase, then a couple days later the $200 credit
@callmeNeno14 күн бұрын
Would you say Chase for domestic travel and CP1 & Amex for international travel?

Sort of! Though there are plenty of sweet spots around

Do you have a video on booking placeholder flights like placeholder economy flights before booking your business award seat?
@KennethTungol15 күн бұрын
Like would you recommend booking an economy or premium economy seat with Aeroplan pts and wait for that exact flight to open business class seating? I’m asking because I had a flight booked with 50,000 aeroplan pts in economy from SFO to KIX. And then found business class availability closer to the flight BUT an agent told me to call in to switch, but when I called it was an hour wait on the phone and the availability was gone
@KevinYang15 күн бұрын
I actually did that on a previous trip last year, though only on the return leg. Basically I'd only consider that if I've checked that the airline/route usually release more seats closer to the date + I already locked in my flight to that location. You can switch these Aeroplan award flights online!
@KennethTungol15 күн бұрын
@@KevinYang what if you hadn’t locked in the flight yet? Would you just take the chance with no flight until closer to the date?
@KevinYang15 күн бұрын
@@KennethTungol No, I'll pretty much always lock in my flight there in Business first. Then coming back if I don't find one yet, I'll keep looking between now and that time (and sometimes book something flexible like you mentioned)
@KennethTungol15 күн бұрын
@@KevinYangI see, how often can you find business class seats like 2-11 months prior the trip? I can only find them like 1 month prior on seats.aero

@ This only works for high income people like yourself. Low income everyday people can’t sign up for all these cards and jank around points. We dont all have six figure businesses bro
@KevinYang12 күн бұрын
@@AlbatrossWhisper I wish I had a 6-figure business haha! But of course, everyone's situation is different, but the core steps and fundamentals of credit card habits, choosing the right card, and using the points that you do have in the best ways for you, are all still relevant!

@@KevinYang Which is why i just signed up for the Savor One card and got approved. I’ve had cap1 cards before Savor and Venture X even existed so i will use that card and gain what i can from them. Also cap 1 portal isn’t too shabby.
