How to turn off cyber power UPS beeping noise

When power outage happens that UPS will by default beeps to let you know it has no power.

We live in the countryside and have regular power outtages due to the power company's neglect of their rural power lines so the buzzer is a serious problem. I've removed the Piezo Buzzer from half a dozen APC UPS over the years. I just bought a cyperpower 1500 from Costco which is a bit different so I was perusing YT to get tips on how to open it up and access the guts of it, and I came across this gem of a video with the most simple solution. Thank you so much for posting this, it's immensely appreciated.

TLDR: Hold down menu, cycle until you see “b on”, hold down menu again, select “b off”, hold down menu again to confirm,

Good information but too slow of a pace when people are in the dark and looking to turn off a noise that's driving them up a wall. I'd recommend trimming this to run from what is currently 1:34 to 3:06 and post a separate video for the other stuff.

Mine has a "Silence Alarm" button but when I press it the only thing that happens is it scrolling through how many volts, watts etc. BUT your video still helped! After watching I thought - hmmm maybe I need to hold the button down and bingo! that worked. So weird they made it so complicated on yours and then put an actual button on mine but they make it so that just pressing it doesn't silence it you have to know to hold it down. Argghhh

This is my 2nd Cyberpower unit and they have always protected whatever was plugged into them. My first model was pre-Lithium battery days, so its ability to run equipment while the power was out never worked well on that model (if at all). The back-up battery works great on this new model. This infernal beeping without an easy way of silencing it seems to be its one major downfall

Yeah, that was great. Anyone have an idea why, when the power is out for an extended period, the unit keeps shutting off (something on the order of every hour or so.) There's no load on the unit except a fiber network interface device I just have to keep turning the unit back on.

so the battery and surge outlets, do those also add the surge only to the output for overload protection? i run into an overload when my gpu and cpu ramp up, its a 1350va unit so 810 watts... im running a ryzen 7 5800x and a 3080 off it and it hits (at peak when unplugged from the UPS) 815 watts from the wall when stressed in some games like the witcher when the CPU and the GPU are going hard
