If you go to the: "light settings" \ "Motion zones for lights" \ and then touch each of the three different zones to turn them off, then "save". That will disable the flood light from coming on. OR easier yet.. just set the "distance" to "MIN" and "save"

I use the “motion snooze” button on my Ring app. I did. It see it in your app. It takes 4.12 seconds to disable vs 4.12 minutes. Keeps all your settings intact and resumes them when you un-snooze.

Update 3 years later: There is now a setting in general settings called light settings that has a switch for “motion lights”

I have a light switch just inside back door that powers my floodlights for my back yard; I switch it off when I have a fire. It's as simple as flipping a switch. Why do people make things complicated when is not???

The new ring floodlight that came out this year, the brightness can be changed. And the lights can be disabled all together in a more convenient setting.
