How to update DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor

DaVinci Resolve Speed Editor can only be updated via the cable so we will need to turn off the Bluetooth first. Actually, before doing that you may need to order a USB to USB C adapter if your computer doesn’t have a USB C port. Link in the description below.
Click on the Notifications at the bottom right of the screen and click on Bluetooth to turn it off. Connect the USB C cable with one end of the adapter and USB port on the other. Click on windows and Type DAV and click on DaVinci Control Panels. You should see the Speed Editor on screen but if you don’t then double check the cables to ensure everything is connected properly. Click on the Speed Editor on screen and then Update. The software should start updating. Click on Done when the update finishes. You have now successfully updated the Speed Editor firmware.

Instead of the adapter suggested, you can also use one of your existing USB A to USB C cables.

well, my problem is that i cant find the control panels app ans also cant reinstall it

I think the control panel app comes with the DaVinci Resolve software. Both free and studio should give an option to install the control panel.

@@mohossain yeah , but I think someone deinstalled it and i can’t reinstall without all the other programs

@@dennis54649 i'd take a backup of the Resolve database and reinstall Resolve.

When I click on Davinci Control Panel, the Control Panel window appears for a split second and then disappears. I am connected only by the USB C cable. My led light above the speed dial is lit and the editor does work with DaVinci, but it says I need to update the device by using the Control Panel. But like I said, it only momentarily appears and then disappears. Any ideas on how I can resolve this? Thanks for posting the video.

I am using the paid Studio version of the software.

It it automatically dissapers then I reckon it's probably a bug they need to fix. I had similar issue with a software update where the system was asking me to update even though I had the latest version installed. I wouldn't worry too much about it tbh :)

i think it took about 4-5 hours to charge. you'll be able to see the battery % from Windows > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & Other devices > DaVinci Keyboard
