Worked for me. Stopped the service, unplugged and replugged the Speed Editor and VOILA! visible in Resolve, and not only in the Resolve Control Panel. Huge thumbs-up!

Thank you, Archeagus. Your explanation was clear, precise and, most importantly, the solution to my three-month-old problem. I’ve had my SE for three years or so, and it failed to connect after a Windows ‘upgrade’, so my assumption was that was the source of the problem. I disconnected just about everything, including my rather nice Logitech mechanical keyboard. I ended up buying a Contour controller. It was fine, although the jog/shuttle was crude in comparison. Mind you, it worked. I could fogive it anything after that. Your suggestion got my SE up and running after restarting my computer. I can’t say how grateful I am. I’d got so used to the SE - which is a great piece of kit, especially when it is working - that losing it slowed my work-rate considerably. It was very poor of Blackmagic not to come up with a solution themselves. It’s not as if it was cheap. It’s a relief. Thanks again. Anyone want to buy a Contour multimedia controller?

Quick update. Eventually the Logitech LampArray service re-enabled itself somehow, so I had to repeat the process of disabling it.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I've been racking my brain all day over this! My SE just stopped working and nothing I tried had any impact. I tested it on other computers (and different versions of DR) and it worked there, but not on my system. I was about to reinstall Windows when I found your video. AND IT WORKED! Hi Archeagus, thanks a lot for this very comprehensive solution. My first attempt was completely removing and reinstall Davinci resolve 19 beta (I'm just testing it), then removing all registry keys related to Blackmagic etc. to achieve a clean new install, but nothing of this was working for me. But you also put a finger on the biggest windows issue, no one knows what happens to the system after some "updates", you can not be shure what was working before is right now working after ...

Thanks for the comment! And yes, back at the time the update occurred, I was not yet a full-time content editor and so the impact was not immediately noticed. At first, I assumed it was an issue with DR 19 as the functionality and drivers are exclusively installed with the application. Once that didn't resolve, I started backtracking. I found the info online about RGB software and went down that rabbit hole, but it didn't pan out either as I was only looking at third-party applications. Then I found the details about Windows Dynamic Lighting, but that update was released in September 2023 and my Speed Editor was working up until December. It wasn't until I went through Windows Update's Update History that I was reminded that I waited until December to install that update. Once I had established that connection, I started researching Microsoft's Dynamic Lighting tech-sheets. I learned that they worked with Logitech on their solution and it was specific to HID LampArray devices. I started searching for any files referencing that term in the Windows directory and voilà!

Verry strange solution but it works! At first it didn't work for the bluetooth connection. But i removed the bluetooth speed editor device and added it again, restarted davinci and it looks like it's solved!

My information was passed on to BMD more than a month ago, but I've seen no response and have not seen any change (in this issue) in the two updates that have since been released. HOLY FRICCING SHEET!! I was legit about to file a warranty claim with DR for this issue, a s;ldgh afs;ld fh[aso[dh f;oasdih f;asdolh fgf;adsfjh JESUS this has been so dadgum frustrating! I've been having to do the lil soft boot thing like 2-5 times every time I wanted to edit for like three months now. that service seems to be windows/micorsoft - i have a clean install of windows 11 and it was there and running - disabiling worked straight away to get my speed editor working

Hmm thats really interesting, I have this service as well and my Speed Editor generally does work, however, as soon as I use it via Bluetooth, it stops its funtionality. But generally I can use it with the service active

This could be determined by your version of DR. Blackmagic just released an update for DR 19 that I have yet to install. Presumably it could have a fix for this issue as it was published in the last week, but it may not. Either way, you could be seeing a new behavior if you are on the new version already. Feel free to document and share your findings here, if you like.

​@@Archeagus Actually I was on the 19.01 and I have found another suggestion deep down in a forum, the fix for the Bluetooth issues where to disconnect it reset firmware name it Davinci Keyboard instead of speed editor and magically it worked haha I mean everything about this seems a bit ridicoulus since it only occured since I was using Windows 11 If you have too much motivaton maybe this could be an idea for another video :D But thank you very much for your reply :)

had to find this video again, because after some update i guess, it failed as before. So checked the processes and services.msc and there it was, enabled again... so no idea why, but logitech wants to run this program for some reason. I have Logi+ installed and have a keyboard with led support (which i don't use).

Actually, the same happened to me once after an update. I'm still not sure if its a Logitech file or a Microsoft file, but the service was re-enabled exactly once for me after either a Windows Update or an update to Logitech G Hub. (That's just a guess though, I was not in position to isolate the change to either one, post update.)
