How to Update Shop Drawings and Materials in your schedule

There is a common issue while updating the materials and shop drawing's status in your schedule.
For example,
1. Submission & Approval: of material If we submit the material we considered the activity completed and awaiting approval. But we have received a Revised and Re-submit status. How to consider this situation?
2. Material delivery: After approval of the material we placed the order.
One of our long lead items has 86 days. How to update this progress every week for the weekly report?

good day mr.hany thanks for your usefull lesson. i have a question that. real scenario say in a linear projects like roads and utilities we no need to procure the material at one time. that we need to split the procurement in stages. how to handle this situation in the schedule

Hii Mr.hany Firstly thanks for the video. You didn’t mention about out of sequence of activities. As we make the BL schedule~ FS for submittal and approval, but when you updated 50, 50 % each ,which still has FS relationship. Are you gonna make FF Or SS. ?

Please do you suggest that ,you can procure materials without your shop drawings? I am a bit confused here

I recommend to get the approval of the material first. In our scenario, it was ceramic tiles, so you need to get the tiles sizes approved before proceeding to shop drawings.
