Great video, wish I had seen it before I upgraded my X20S. Stabilized receiver setup will be helpful to many as the new process can cause some headaches if you miss a step or don't notice there is more information that requires you to scroll to access.

Nice vid, Juan! Do you use the X20S for everything? I've been a longtime Futaba fan, but picked up an X20S a few months ago. I started swapping planes over recently, but hesitant on using it with my big gassers. I know people are using these radios on $20K+ turbines....still hard for me to get over the hump to trust it lol.

I came from a long run with Futaba as well. I started with FrSky on a few smaller planes and am only using non stabilized rx's currently, but found the TD link great and now have everything including 6 giant scale gassers on my X20S.

I have an X20S and a X20 Pro AW (basically a fancier aluminum body, but mostly same internals and software). I use both for all my planes, from foamies to giant scale gas planes and ultra expensive turbine jets. The reason why I intially looked into FrSky was actually reliability, as I stopped trusting my more expensive Spektrum tx after some issues...

Great video - thanks for all your efforts. I would love to see a video for updating the TD SR10 receivers - I have 5 to do once I update my transmitter. Will they have to be removed from the models to update them?

Thanks! I'm currently working on a "How to setup a Stabilized Receiver" video starting from scratch. For an existing model that was setup prior to 1.6, you will need to redo the calibrations and double check other parameters. If you're able to move the model to the required position during the calibration, you could keep the rx in the plane.

Watching since I think the update process is one of the only drawbacks to this transmitter. I have radiomaster with edgeTX same issue with firmware updates never as simple as Spektrum lol

So my MacBook Pro M1 won’t recognize my ProAW. Correct cable, how do I get it to talk with Ethos suite as easily as yours is? Thanks for the video. It at least looks possible

Hi! I haven't run into issues with this other than an occasional instance where the laptop doesn't see the TX, but I have heard some reports of people having some similar problems. Some things people have found helpful: - Try a different cable (I'm sure you've already tried this). - If you get a "disk attached not readable" error, hit initialize, go to disk utility, and hit mount. - Alternatively, use a USB-C to USB-A cable and some sort of SUB-A to USB-C adapter or dock with USB-A ports. (for some reason, people have tried this and often works)...
