How to upgrade Shimano SLX DC

Dropping parts, banging on the desk for a bearing to come out, and not having an order or process of removing parts is unfortunately a recipe for disaster. The SLX DC already is a great baitcaster to begin with. Its like a well tuned performace reel. Why change the baearing without knowing if there is some value in upgrading? Will you cast farther? Will the DC (digital control) help with casting further and if so, how much further? I wont not use this video as a guide on upgrading my bearings😢

I would like to see how much further this actually casts,shimano uses some of the best bearings, the only casting improvements are 2 full ceramic spool bearings!!!!!

Number one rule of any fishing reel when you are done fishing back the drags off completely. Doing this you will never flatten out your drag washers which causes you to lose drag pressure.

Why are you replacing sealed ball bearings with non sealed bearings. You know dirts and debris are gonna slow it down and get in it. Your video is a guide on how to downgrade your reel.

Not a big deal unless you are fishing salt. I fish non sealed all the time with no issues. If you do get any debris you can flush them.

Even fishing salt its not a big deal. Ceramic ball bearings dont corrode. You can run them wet with very light oil, like bfs oil or hyperspeed oil, or run the dry for even better performance. You just have to maintain your reels.
