Hey! I've been watching all your videos for almost 10 years now, and subscribed back then. I found your channel when I was looking for Windows 7 Tips+Tweaks and found some other hardware useful tips. Recently I bought a gaming laptop w/ WIN11 installed, are you planning to make a playlist of WIN11 Tweaks? Thank you!!

I feel like you should call the video. How to check if your system is compatible for win11. And not how to upgrade. Cuz you didn’t mention the update assistant, nor creating an iso for usb or disc. 😏 Or are you planing a video series? 😎

Lol, well I did specify in the video title - Requirements for your PC, its the starting point, determining if you can. But you are right, this is part 1 of a series of Windows 11 videos that I'll be making that covers installing it from a ISO image.

Seems like Microsoft is looking to arbitrarily discourage widespread adoption with the TPM requirement. Even many modern PCs from the last few years won't be able to satisfy that.

I have windows 10 21H1 and apparently not wiindows 11 compliant. PC Health Check does nothing! I probably need a motherboard that is window 11 compatible. Do you have a list of them? I have an AsRock X470 Taichi.There is no setting in the BIOS.
@PCWizKid3 жыл бұрын
Well thats up to each motherboard or brand unfortunately. For example here is the list for ASUS motherboards that are Windows 11 ready www.asus.com/microsite/motherboard/ASUS-motherboards-Win11-ready/ and here is the list of all the compatible CPU's for AMD docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-amd-processors and for Intel docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

Bios > advanced mod > cpu configuration and at the end you should see and ftpm switch. Enable it if you see it.
@54carlje3 жыл бұрын
@@sokol5805 I enabled that but it doesn't make it windows 11 compatible. 😕

@@54carlje did you also check to see if you have UEFI?

Windows 11 is going to be a fail in my opinion. The only people who are going to have it are tech nerds, gamers, and the few people who buy new computers because theirs broke. The vast majority of people will continue on Windows 10 and will not upgrade. When Windows 10 came out anything that ran Windows 7 could run windows 10 and the upgrade process was pretty simple. This is going to be a train wreck for Microsoft.

Can you upgrade from a dev build?
@PCWizKid3 жыл бұрын
Probably a clean install since the Dev build will contain code that isnt final.
