can we do air layering above terminal growth rings to make new tree's as well? How long would you recommend waiting before doing air layering?
@madisoncitrusnursery4 ай бұрын
We do not airlayer in the greenhouse. There would be better resources in some of the citrus groups on facebook or forums that could give you much better information on how to do that.

What do you do with the part that you cut off the tree?
@madisoncitrusnursery2 ай бұрын
We compost all of our clippings and then use them for other things around the property. Some people may choose to either try to root them or use them for grafting, that is your choice.

Do you sterlize your potting soil what do you use to sterlize it?
@madisoncitrusnursery10 ай бұрын
We do not take any additional steps to actively sterilize our potting mix prior to using it.

Madison has the best media, forgot the 5-1-1 method 😂

We appreciate that and we love our mix. Pine bark based mixes are great mixes as long as everything else gets added into it.

What kind of that tall
@madisoncitrusnursery5 ай бұрын
Im not sure exactly what you are asking but if its about the tall pots, they are the Steuwe & Sons tree 13.5x4x4 tree pots. There are 3 gallon pots that are similarly as tall but most people use the 3 gallon trade pots and just tease the bottom of the roots to get them to sit at the right height in the shorter pot.
