I’ve yet to find a Video of someone using yoga blocks that didn’t suck. You can relax over the yoga blocks in so many different positions and it will compress one muscle group while stretching the other. You can lay across it with a new your lower back and it will compress the muscles of your lower back while stretching your entire psoas muscle group - it’s amazing! She does nothing like this but it’s a yoga block 101 technique!! I feel bad for all the people who actually try to use videos like this crap to Learn how to use a yoga block end up thinking that it’s no good just because they’ve never been taught right!

Will props help for me to eventually not need them?
@youaligned5 жыл бұрын
Hey ladydede88! This is a great question and I get asked this a lot from my students. My answer is yes and no ... yes, using props can help you deepen your practice, which in turn can mean that over time, you won't need the props in the same way. But also no, beause regardless of how experienced or 'advanced' you become in your yoga practice, props can still help. So instead of viewing them as a 'crutch' or temporary support, I always encourage students to view props as useful tools there to support your practice every step of the way. After 12 years of doing yoga, I still incorporate yoga blocks and straps into my daily practice. =) I hope that helps!! Thank you for reaching out and namaste, Ashton from YogiApproved
