I know most think it's silly to make this video, but believe me some need help at the start, and this is for them. For the know it all, look at the mirror and think if you ever didn't know how to do something and you got help from someone. That is the intention, be nice, shoot film!

Step 1: Sell both kidneys ahahah - jokes aside this was great, I had no idea it wound the whole roll through as a first step, would've had a heart attack if I'd ever gotten my hands on one before watching this lol!

Thanks Marc! I sold mine years ago, still miss it, but it was too specific for my normal use. So it's best in someone else's hands.

I'm new to XPAN and am VERY lucky to now got one at a reasonable deal... but the vertical alignment is totally off... can you maybe also show how to adjust the rangefinder? I read many do it themselves (as it can get easily out of alignment) but don't find any good tutorial... that would be amazing if you can help us with that!

I think a “how to buy an x-pan” would be better..because I’m too poor for that camera! Haha. Appreciate your videos, man. Always great.

This is a great and helpful intro. What’s considered a high shutter count for an X pan?

Do you have to develop the film and print the pictures yourself because of this unusual picture format or will the labatory detect the format somehow?
@randallstewart1753 жыл бұрын
The length of the panorama frame is 65mm, right in the middle of the frame sizes of various medium format image sizes. (Bigger than a Rollei; smaller than a Pentax 67) Labs use a variety of automatic printing equipment, so you have to inquire of your proposed lab to determine whether the combination of 35mm film and MF format length can fit their printing processes. Manual enlarging would be no problem. As to development, it's just a roll of 35mm film - no problem re film processing.
