I'm so excited that I bought the electric canner. I'm canning the chicken now as I watch you. I did some research on the canner. Watch a lady from the channel call ROSE RED. she is a science professor and did placed an object in the canner to see if it kept the proper pressure. Please watch her so your viewers can feel safe to use the canner.

Tysm for your video. The step by step visual instructions are perfect to follow. So glad people are going back to old school canning. We became too reliable on mass commercial foods that have degraded us to garbage food in the last century. Before commercial food and big pharma we took care of our families just fine since the beginning of time. God blass you and yours!

Thank you so much for this video. I didn't know you could can meat like this. How long will this last in the jars? I have been wondering about this canner because I didn't want to use the stove top. Does this canner come with recipes? Do you have a recipe book that you would share with me in my journey to canning? Do you prefer the normal size jars or the wide mouth jars? Would the wide mouth jars fit in the canner? Thank you.
@joyhomesteadva3 ай бұрын
@dare2dreambig313 this canned chicken is good for as long as the seal holds. Most jar companies say 18 months, but I've had canned goods hold much longer than that. The canner comes with basic recipes and processing times. I use tested recipes by Ball, National Center for Home Preservation, and USDA. All of these can be found online for free. The canner works with wide and regular mouth jars, you just can't fit as many wide mouth as regular mouth per canner load. I prefer wide mouth for chunkier foods and regular for liquids or smooth canned foods. I hope this helps! -Jamie

How do you get hard water off of jars?
@sushicourier15 күн бұрын
@dianewebb8461 It's a terrible problem for me as well. Put a couple of tablespoons of plain, white vinegar in the water. That cuts down the white a lot! And I always wash the jars after canning before storing them and a good sponge scrubber will usually easily remove any white "bloom" that happens to form.
