How to use a smartphone as a camera monitor

using your smartphone as a monitor gives you the opportunity to get a larger wiew of focus areas, and to have an affardoble external monitor with a great resolution. Some aditional gear will be needed, but they are affordable.
- Your phone
- the usb camera app
- Video capture card
- usb c cable
- HDMI cable - to Micro HDMI
- Camera

Thanks for sharing. I use this solution sometimes but I will add, you can get capture cards with usb c pig tails eliminating the need for the additional usb c extension cable. Good video. 👍🏼

Thanks for watching:) Yes I have been looking for that capture card with the built in usb c, it would be a better solution than my "clumsy" cable management. But the principal was more important in the video :-)

It's good to use an HDMI to micro HDMI coiled cable because it looks more tidy for cable management. Good video sharing here.

Yes, you should be able to do live streaming using this setup. But It`s probably vice to buy the pro version of the USB Camera app with slightly more advanced settings. And not at least, you will get rid of the adds that pops up in the free version when you are online.
