Wow I'm so glad to learn that I can reverse the piece with the scale on it. It's been annoying me that I have to look at percentage instead of ratio. 👍👍

Hello, I have a metering pump Tefen Mix Rite 3.5. Some water is leaking along the black knob at the top. I opened the pump and see that the mechanism from the top cover cannot be removed. How can I stop the leak please? Thanks for info!!! Best regards! Jan

Jan, it sounds like it could be an O-Ring or one of the seals -- when you mentioned black knob, do you have one with the on/off knob at the top, or the one with the more rounded and flush knob? If you can, send us a quick photo of your MixRite (support@dripdepot.com) and the location where it's leaking, good chance we can assist with this -- easy fix if it's just an O-Ring or seal :)

I just sent a email for help on determining what model of injector I need. My water is 8-10 gpm

It looks like someone got a reply over to you before I came into the office this morning -- they're quick! If you haven't checked yet, the reply should be in your in-box -- you're welcome to reply with any follow-up questions, during office hours we'll get back to you fast and are happy to help narrow things down. It sounds like you have a setup that's in range of lots of injectors, so you'll have lots of options depending on what kind of injector you'd prefer (water driven, venturi, etc) :)

Would this work off a riser from an irrigation zone? For example, zone1 is a flower bed to have it installed in. Thnx

Depending on the size of the riser and the space available, it potentially could. The smaller MixRite has a 3/4" MPT inlet and outlet, so it could be installed with just an adapter or so. It could end up being a bit of a bulky setup, however, as it's best to install one of these on a Bypass (basically a loop of pipe with a ball valve on either end so that the injector can be isolated from the rest of the system if need be).

Can I install a valve on the nutrient line to stop nutrient uptake or when I just want to water without nutrients? I know I could install a bypass system, but a simple on/off valve would be much easier on the nutrient line from the tank. What happens if the system runs dry, ie, the nutrient level falls below the suction tube?

A lot of MixRite Units come with a built-in chemical shut-off -- some of these will have it in the part number, for example TF10.002ON/OFF -- others will just say they come equipped with a chemical shut-off, such as the 571CW with Chemical Shutoff. It's definitely not advised to let the system run dry -- what happens is the seal on the chemical pick up rod could be damaged. The chemical cylinder can also become damaged. If you run out of solution and don't have a shut-off or can't interrupt the watering cycle, use water in place of solution so the unit stays lubricated :)
