My Logitech G604 is unfortunately breaking apart. And since Logitech doesn't have anything with at least 6 buttons on the side plus two accessory buttons on the left click, I now own a Razer Naga V2 Pro. It seems to really be the designated successor. Thanks for this video and the your short review about SteerMouse.

Awesome video, was wondering this as well since i use a KVM between my PC and mac and all my devices are connected to this. will look to get this in due course. Hoping to see some love for steelseries which also has a multibutton mouse with the aerox 9 as I am eyeing up the WoW special edition.

I looked at both of those when I was trying to find a good mouse and they seem great! I forget exactly what pushed me to the Razer, but I've been enjoying it a lot.

There's no official Razer app, but there's the unofficial one I mentioned here. It just doesn't support every model, sadly.

I play a game called Tibia. In this game you use the hotkeys F1 to F12. Is it as easy as just putting F1 in the 4th button to use it? I'm thinking that maybe it will lower the screen light and not do the job. Could you help me please before I waste my money?
@tombuckАй бұрын
Yeah, that's exactly it. Basically the same as what I did here except using function keys instead of number keys 👍 SteerMouse does have a fully functional free trial, so you can experiment before spending any money.

I heard you talking about this mouse, yesterday. I’m actually thinking of getting a new keyboard with a num pad -old school. I’d have to try both to see if I would prefer the tiny mouse keys. Maybe that’s my tendinitis taking, though. 😂 👍

Have you ever heard of a vertical mouse? I've never used one, but they look super unusual and are made specifically to help with wrist injuries.

how u connect naga pro with mac with bluetooth,i try but i cant. I have naga pro and macbook air m2. Please help.
@tombuckАй бұрын
If you press and hold the connection button on the bottom of the mouse, it SHOULD show up as an available device in your MacBook's Bluetooth settings. Just be sure that the connection swtich on the bottom of the mouse is put in the Bluetooth position and not 2.4ghz (which is for the USB dongle).

If I am playing Wow on my Macbook Pro M3 with the naga hyperspeed, will I be able to bind the 1-8 keys onto the mouse and then use it in the game ?
@tombuck19 күн бұрын
You should be able to. I think the Hyperspeed might even be supported withe unofficial Razer app I mentioned in the video. I haven't tried WoW, but FFXIV on my MacBook Pro M1 works great with the mouse.
@konvict382619 күн бұрын
@@tombuck additionally, if I make custom binds using the 12 side buttons, will that then bind them like that when I just use the mouse generally when I'm using Word or google docs for example?

Steermouse lets me do it on the Naga V2 under the Wheel settings (I have it set to scroll around my Final Cut timeline and scrub through videos and stuff).

It's weird how many things Windows and Linux users take for granted, like the ability to just buy any mouse, keyboard, monitor or any video game and just have it working with minimal set up. Still glad that Mac Users have some options even if they are a bit convoluted, everybody should be able to experience nice gaming hardware :)
@tombuck3 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's very strange. I'm curious why some of the bigger companies like Razer don't put at least a little more effort into Mac compatibility, but yeah, I love MacOS, but there are definitely frustrations. If I had unlimited time/money I'd love to build a custom PC and then have the best of both worlds.
@JustFlinx3 ай бұрын
@@tombuck Tom, I'm telling you from experience, going down the custom gaming PC rabbit hole is dangerous, I have more fun building PC's now then actually using them. It's a lot less scarier than it looks, and it's also a lot more fun than it looks !!

Just ordered mine for a Logitech MX Master 3S Mac edition. Logitech buggy driver doesn't officially support the latest macOS Sequoia 15.1 and eat up 3% of my CPU and 300 MB of data. SteerMouse eats ZERO CPU and takes 3MB. You choose. Thanks!

Hey. I enjoyed the vid! But how can i trust this program dont mess with my Mac and steal my information?
@tombuck2 ай бұрын
That's definitely a personal decision based on what you're comfortable with. SteerMouse has a good reputation and has been around for a while, and it's not subscription based or anything, so I'm comfortable with it and it's been great! But again, that's just my personal choice.
