This is one of our templates that we've built. This is not available in the ClickUp template center!

As far as checklists go, wouldn't it be better to deploy a checklist within a task rather have a task that only has 5 minutes of budget? Do you expect your staff to track time against a 5 minute task? I would rather roll those up into a larger task to cut down on the administrative portion of managing your timers and have them use checklists. What do you think?
@ZenPilot9 ай бұрын
Great question. Yes! If you build out a process that has 2+ tasks in a row that are 5 minutes a piece and will probably be assigned to one person, you can merge those subtasks in to 1 and use a checklist instead. But, in some cases you do want some 5 minute tasks that are helpful to see when they've been completed. For example, I'd want "send blog to client for review" as a separate task most often so that I can close that task and then the team knows when the blog is in the clients hands!

Are the tasks in your list templates also templates themselves? Or, do you have those tasks in a "task templates" folder separately in the "list templates" folder?
@ZenPilotАй бұрын
It depends. Some can be, but it depends on how you work. Some agencies sell "bundles" of deliverables in a project. So, in that case, that could be a few task templates that basically make up a list template. However, some list templates (like a website build) don't make sense to have be separate task templates because the tasks in that are project phases or milestones so they need to be together.

Is there a way of deploying a set of tasks within a list, without having to create a new list? I´m trying to do sort of like a monthly tasks template, but it´s saved up as a list template and when I deploy it, it creates a new list, instead of populating in an already existing list.
@ZenPilot2 ай бұрын
You'd need to save this as a task template. A list template will always create a new list.

Awesome Video, are you able to rename columns in click up templates?
@ZenPilot11 ай бұрын
Those columns are the names of your custom fields so yes, you can rename them, but they'll have one name across your workspace.

If I create a list template made of several tasks templates, and then later on i make an update on one of those task template, will it also update the tasks within the list template?🤔
@ZenPilot3 ай бұрын
It will not! They are not connected in ClickUp.

How do you stop the tasks in your process library from showing up on your tasks lists? Do you not have someone assigned to the task in the process library?
@ZenPilot8 ай бұрын
Great question. 1. Yes, we do not assign tasks in the process library. 2. You can also use location filters in your views to not show any of those tasks if they are assigned. Just create a filter and it should be "Location" is not "Process Library" or whatever your process library is called.

How the heck can I re-edit a created template?
@ZenPilotАй бұрын
You want to make sure you have a process/template library space where all of your template source files are stored. When you have that, you can easily edit those templates! But when you go to edit a template, just make sure you click "update existing template".
