Hi Jennifer, hope this helps, I was messing around with settings on my Samsung tablet and found under Advanced Features, Labs, Landscape View for Portrait Apps, look for Cricut App, toggle to On then set to Full Screen. Design Space will then open Full Screen in Landscape. It worked perfectly for me. I hope it does for you.

Jennifer... just wanted you to know that when you forget to do something, or have to go back and "figure it out" this actually helps me more than watching videos where the instruction is just "routine." I think this is one reason I had so much trouble with my Cricut 2 on a laptop, which I've had for four years and barely used. Back then, using Android really limited me to what I could do with a Cricut. 😔 I spent countless hours trying to figure out things and watching videos, but finally gave up on it a couple years ago. I was frustrated and in tears because I couldn't make my grandson what he wanted, 😢 so it just wasn't worth it. I'm just not Windows savvy at all. I am Android all the way, have two tablets (one new) and a phone. I can already tell this is going to be much easier for me! I am beyond excited because I kept my Cricut 2, I just could not let myself sell it, although I sold my press and lots of other little things, but that's ok! I now have hope again! I'm so happy I could cry, honestly. 😢 Thank you SO MUCH! I just ran upon this by accident, so will need to download your manual and watch the first two videos. You are the best, my dear! ❤

You can change the colors by selecting what you want to change on the canvas or in the layers panel and then click on the square next to operation and choose a color to switch it to.

Jennifer, I use a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. When I go to my canvas I only see measurements on my grid starting at 2" or 4" at the top of the canvas. I do scrapbooking and I work on a 12" x 12" size page. I get a pop-up that says too big to cut on the mat. So have gotten discouraged trying to size the words or item I want to put in my scrapbooks. I know its "the user" as always 😂. Help? I cut out a huge elephant for my Grandsons scrapbook. Its now a joke with me and my friend's 😂.

Print Then Cut feature is not fully supported on Android at this time. You may design and save Print Then Cut projects with the Android app, but to print and cut these projects you must use Design Space on a Windows/Mac computer or iOS device.

No, not true -- you will be able to continue to use your phone to access Cricut Design Space and use your Cricut Joy. You're probably just thinking of how they discontinued the little-known and little-used app they had made for the Joy -- I've never used it. It was a dumbed down version and I did not recommend it to anyone. So you're not missing anything.

38:06 I am trying to upload from an android and take a photo and select from Photo library open uploaded images,,,, I am stuck here. If I take a photo how will it know which size to make the lettering, I dont see upload a file from drive

You can drag the photo into Design Space and once you go through the process of print then cut you can resize the image to the parameters that print than cut will allow. When you are searching for an image that you want to only draw. Go to images and in the operation panel choose draw only to find them that way. A cut image will not give you a single line draw.

When i went to try to get into my account i got in but it wants me to set up new machine and then it showed Failed firmware try again. Did cricut take away our ability to choose custom pressure, or how many repetitions of cuts? Because “more” absolutely isn’t cutting it when cutting leather. It barely gets through thin leather with the deep blade, and my ipad app won’t allow me to “edit” material settings. Getting super frustrated. They took away the one thing that allows me to, you know, actually MAKE what I want to make. So frustrated.

The internet could drop out and that will stop the Cricut from cutting. A hard wire is more reliable than wireless.

Hey Jennifer, I have a problem w layers when using my phone or tablet it will say can't cut or support bc of layers but it's just one color and then it doesn't allow me to take out whatever layer it's talking about. Also, looking at your screen my screens don't have that bottom row of icons stuff like yours...I'm soooo confused
