I'm an automotive service advisor, home mechanic, and hotrodder. I found and bought this meter myself and it's been fine for my use. I had bought a few junky meters over the years and could never bring myself to spend the money needed for a pro level automotive meter. But this brand, Innova makes a line of automotive timing gear that works well, and I am happy with their middle timing light. So I gave this a go. I noticed I need to "wake up" the continuity beeper on mine, as you showed. After I rub the probes together for a moment, they signal easily and repeatedly. As to the tension on the plug ports, it makes me a little happy because I don't expect them to loosen up over time. Also, some things you didn't mention. I like the storage clips on the side of the meter, they make it easier to hold in one hand while contacting something with the probe on the meter, and at the same time apply the other probe with my free hand. There's an elastic on the back to hold to things, and there's a stand too. I'm the opposite of you, I'm ok with it. I bet I'm their target audience.

@@3Repete please just throw it away and get a meter that works like one should. AstroAI has a great line of meters that are around the same price of this one. Except, they actually work out of the box. Tests with your meter should be consistent and accurate. Helping to eliminate confusion when troubleshooting. I know you’re only a hobbyist, but it’ll save you time in the long run.

Thanks for this video and recommendations. I’m a rookie to multimeters and the more I’ve been learning about my self installed solar setup off grid the more I realize I’m playing with fire. Time to upgrade and watch more videos like yours!

I have this meter already. I mostly use it just for testing 12 V batteries. I don’t use the functions like continuity, but I tried it during your video and it beeped the entire time with no problem. Thanks for your instructions though.

Mine works great with the beeper setting, sometimes the ohm reading jumps around. It has worked well for me as a home mechanic... But im open to other meters that can do more for the same price. I think auto ranging is a must for me. Just looked at your amazon and that meter seems so much better for the money, thank you!

@@thesneak281 there’s another brand called AstroAI. They’ve got some really good stuff at a similar price. I’ve got a few videos on them and also some of their meters in my store (link in video description). For sure would recommend checking them out. You’d be surprised the difference in quality/accuracy compared to the innova meter you’ve been using. Should make the occasional electrical testing a lot more straight forward

Not trying to say you’re wrong but I have this multimeter in my hands right now and it chirps the second I hit the two leads together and even moving them around to get many different contact points. It never leave the tone until I pull away. So if that’s your major issue, which if mine were like too, I would have a major issue. Wonder why yours didn’t work well?

I have this exact same meter and I literally have none of is displaying. I would recommend taking it back and getting a new one. The meter itself is actually pretty good. At least I’m assuming you got a faulty piece of money back.

@@christianweber1960 thanks for letting everyone know. This is a common symptom of poor quality meters. I also have purchased and reviewed another meter by the same manufacturer that has the same issue. I would recommend getting a set of test leads off of amazon for any of these cheaper meters

This video should be labeled, "Review of Innova 3320 multimeter." You did explain how to use it, but there was so much time spent on your opinions of this meter that I gave up and found another video that only explains how to use this it.

Excellent video. I purchased this, no idea why? Maybe it’s all they had. What do you recommend in the $50 range?

@@thepowerofyourvoicepodcast thank you! A company called AstroAI has some great meters in the $30 range. The fluke 101 is also a super solid meter for around the $50 range. Not many features but extremely dependable and accurate 👍

@@miggut1980 take the meter, put it in the trash can. Then, go buy a different meter. I have plenty of videos on testing batteries and voltmeters. This meter is terrible.

I watched your video..its ok ,you explained a few things great .I don't need all that fancy dancy stuff that other meters have and a basic one does the job for what i do .This meter is decent enough.As for price well the price depends on where you buy it from.Keep in mind most big box stores buy things in bulk for their stores so they will get them for rock bottom prices and sell them for stupid money to the public...and why you say...well because they can .

@@cactusladysouth1000 there’s a company on Amazon called Astro AI. They have some meters in this price range that’ll be able to measure capacitance. Should be able to help you get sorted out 👍

And the fact that you went out of your way to leave a comment like that on a small KZbin channel just shows how much of a life you’re lacking 😂

Why make a video manual of a product if you don't want people to buy them on the first place? And don't worry about other people's personal lives. It's none of your business. Just tell us how that multimeter works, and shut the fck up.
