Never forget that, if Hero Factory wasn't about robots, Core Hunter would be a serial killer that tears the hearts out of people's chests.

Core Hunter was once a rookie from hero factory but he went rogue thanks to some kind of defect. He felt that there was nothing for him in the Hero Factory and that no one cared about him and his future. And that claw he has is a "Hero Core Remover Tool" that he probably stole, the mask is a multivision mask which uses infrared, x-ray, and ESP. the saddest part is that hes probably dead thanks to the Doom Box causing the Villain's powers to fold in on himself, until his body slowly winked out of existence. i found this in his wiki page, all this info is in the books apparently

Back when I first saw him, before I knew of the concept of night-vision goggles, I always thought he had a spider-motif. To me, everything pointed to that: 8 pointed red pieces referencing the number of legs one has, and the goggles itself.

a genuine personal favorite. I've always seen him as an analogue for Transformers Prime's Shockwave, where he uses the Quaza to experiment and bring to life many disgusting creatures, even some he uses as attack dogs. I mean, how could I not with the burly scientist with a giant canon wand chain?

I bet if there was a Hero Factory and Bionicle crossover, Core Hunter would go after the masks of the Toa as well. I also kind of wouldn't mind him developing a rivalry with Takanuva. A fallen hero of pure evil vs the ultimate hero of light just seems destined to end in violence, it'd be so cool.
@alexarias4099 Жыл бұрын
That is some badass character design, I imagine Core Hunter as the Stain of the Hero Factory world taking the cores from fallen heroes as a power source and trophies

This was the first Hero Factory set I ever got, before I new anything about the story. Given that he is a bounty hunter in the HF story, sort of a freelancer without any fixed team, gives him the 'lone wolf' vibe. And a bit of Boba Fett from Star Wars. Plus, I was inspired by one of your other videos and recently made a mock with parts from him and Stormer from the Brain Attack wave (the second set I got back in the day, before I got more from Bricklink). So It was very simple: uses one of Core Hunter's boots to cover the back (I think most heroes from Breakout wave had that), kept his original torso and has the cable connected around it as a bandolier. Besides, the set itself looks badass and is really fun to play with as well. Take care and happy building!💪✌

Core Hunter was one of the very few villain sets using the CCBS system that immediately won me over. I had my issues with the building system ever since it's very poor debut in 2.0, and never fully saw it's potential until Witch Doctor, but Core Hunter... There's no other way to say this than he's just sick and badass. He is a glimpse of what Hero Factory could have been if it focused more on world-building, story, and really making a world you could invest in and want to know more about and build characters within like what BIONICLE was.
@PhoenixLightLord Жыл бұрын
Hero Factory could have become just as great a Lego series if it hadn't been strangled by the ever-whining Bionicle fans. With their whining, they simply brought the series to the grave, despite excellent sets like this hunter, the lightning dragon, Pyrox, the water monster from the same wave of sets, the queen of monsters and some other excellent sets. Bionicle fans literally immediately crap on the series for the fact that it was not similar to Bionicle and did not yet have a full-fledged plot. It is impossible to develop a full-fledged series in 4 years, there are many examples of this - for example, the same Nexo Knights, which even in 2 years managed to fall to the bottom and ended with the stumping of the third wave of sets. Chima was closer to success, but Lego was too hasty with the plot and closed the series too early, although it was planned for season 4. It’s almost the same with the factory, except that Bionicle fans only strangled it, and didn’t touch the rest of the series. And even when Lego re-released the Bionicles, the fans continued to whine, like this is not what they wanted. The old molds of parts have long been lost, I am 200% sure of this, and making them again or making new ones is extremely expensive - but even so they easily gave us what everyone asked for. And even here the fans began to express dissatisfaction with literally everything they could... It’s good that at least in the case of Ninjago, LEGO didn’t listen to the whiners or close the series too early, otherwise Ninjago most likely wouldn’t have lasted longer than the Bionicles along with their re-release. And yes, I apologize for possible errors in the text - English is not my native language, I don’t know it very well, so I use Google translator.

At one point, I was messing around with a slim samurai MOC that would use the hand armor for the chest armor. Never went anywhere, but it makes for an interesting torso piece. Really slims the whoe thing.
@asherroodcreel640 Жыл бұрын
I like the much more bulky torso and more powerful limbs of the mock, I don't think the grey plastic works at all noting to briged them to the smother components if their made to look built out of scrap, really I think what they should have done is give him a loose belt of stolen cores to contrast with all the smooth shapes and maybe an animaistic skull
