Noooooo! Put the Ceratec in first. Then, fill the empty Ceratec can half full with new motor oil. Shake, pour the oil into the engine. Repeat two more times. That way, you get every drop of Boron Nitride goodness that Ceratec has to offer. Then fill up the engine up to the top dipstick fill line!

I used the Mos2 additive and worked well, slight improvement in mileage. Gas is like 9$ gallon here in Europe so any slight % is still a lot of money saved.

I would have used a cheap filter with the cheap oil, then drain and fill with better oil and filter

Olá, entendi perfeitamente o metodo utilizado para limpeza (flushing). A minha questão reside sobre misturar para alem do ceratec ao novo óleo com o outro aditivo tapa fugas. A minha viatura tem alguns anos, sem DPF, e apresenta fuga de óleo por baixo do bloco e a frio faz um ruído que indica algum desgaste. Li também que a liqui moly também tem a linha tratamento aos tuchos hidraulicos. Qual a sua opinião? O motor alberga 4L no total. Acrescentar à razão de 3,2 lt de óleo lubrificante, 300 ml de Ceratec e 500 ml de tapa fugas? Ou não é de todo aconselhável misturar estes dois aditivos da liqui moly em conjunto??? Grato pela atenção dispensada.

I don't know about mixing additives if it will help, But maybe try to find the source of leak then fix it first instead of stop leak additives. When leak is fixed then maybe you can try the Ceratec ( just my opinion). Thanks for watching!!!👍

@edcardiy obrigado pela atenção. Já procurei solucionar a questão da fuga mas a mesma está localizada em local inacessível. Somente com retirada do motor. Talvez tenha de repensar essa hipótese aproveitando para limpeza da EGR e colector. Psra complementar a informação, referente a motorização Z13DTJ, que equipa o Opel Corsa D 1.3 cdti de 2008, com 290mil km's rodados.

Would it be better to do your steps but then drive the car a few miles with the cheap oil before draining and then adding the new oil and oil filter?

And how did de engine feels after? everything ok? I used ceratec in other cars when new, but in my current car i havent and i am thinking in make or not a flush before

The engine feels so slippery and very responsive because of less friction, It's good to add after an oil change but it's expensive if you add the Ceratec all the time you do an oil change. Thanks for watching!!!👍

I would if you have a lot of mileage and see a bit of sludge inside the engine when you open the oil filler cap.

No, I don't use the ceratec at every oil change, It will be very expensive. I just did the ceratec on this engine to remove the sluggishness and bring this high mileage engine back to life. It did felt a lot better after the ceratec, the engine runs so smooth and responsive. But if you can afford the ceratec at every oil change, That would be very good for your engine. doesn't the instructions say to let the engine get to operating temp before adding the flush? Like let it idle and warm up, THEN add the sauce, THEN wait 10-15 mins baised on level of contamination, THEN drain the oil?

Yes I was thinking that too. The old oil is already dirty so would not be as effective in the cleaning because it already is full of crap...Change oil and filter first then add the flush, then do the same again? Would you not get a better result?

@@ned1621what are you saying is logic, so you can do that if you have the money to buy another can of oil, surely will be better for the engine, but even if you add the engine flush on the old oil will be already good enough, your decision.

No, flush with old oil then add cheap new oil, idle 20min and drain again. Add good synthetic and ceratec 💯

Hi, great video btw. I like this method because I neglected my oil change for a while now and racked up a lot of miles, so this seems like a great way to freshen the engine. I'm going to buy some ramps like you have. Just wondering would I need to have the back end of the car jacked up as well so the car is level?

Frank B, Thanks for the comment, No you don't need to jack the back end of the car, It's even better for draining the oil when the front end is lifted, the angle of the car makes the oil drain faster because of the position of the drain plug. As for circulating the oil inside the engine, the oil pump inside the engine will do the job for even distribution of oil. Hope this helps you.
