In this video I will show you how to hit places on the cue ball that you have never hit before. This will create so much spin, that you will be able to get to places on the table from almost straight in.
This is a filipino type spin shot, used by for example Efren Reyes and Carlo Biado.
Practice this pool shot, you're gonna love it and it's gonna give you a lot of power in your stroke!
Enjoy!!

Great shots but examples 1 and 2 are mighty tough on Diamond tables that routinely reject the object ball at those angles at speeds beyond pocket speed unless hit absolutely perfect. Still, those shots come up all the time and are must have shots in ones toolbox.

I agree. I'd like to see how pros think when they "get down on the shot with deflection already accounted for". I always adjust my aim AFTER I'm down, which is said to be bad.
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen Жыл бұрын
By defenition, all shafts even LD have some deflection so we have to adjust our aim by aiming slightly fuller on these shots to compensate for the twist of the cue ball to the opposite side of the spin. Hit with left, cue ball will squirt more to the right. However, the shorter the distance the less you need to compensate 😄👍🏼

Very useful shot. It takes practice, lots of amateurs miss easy shots with too much English, thats a good practice shot to get better at it. I made one last week was straight on hit it hard with english and it got me shape lol it spun for like 15 seconds 😄 It didn't go that far tho my next shot wasn't at the very end. I love practicing by myself people kinda laugh at me sometimes but last season in league at the end my team played the best team they never lost one night, im one pf the only ones in the league who won 3/4 games against them, should have won all 4 but i got excited and miscued. if you miss they run the table. Not bad for a trans girl 😄 so many guys get frustrated losing to me 🤣 its a game of skill not strength and my breaks suck too they are lucky I don't have a break cue my shots arent as hard since I started transitioning. I might not be able to get completely down table on a 9' table but Im good at banks my go to practice shots lol

Hoi niels, super video.

Niels, you are one hell of a great player. The stroke you use for these shots must have taken you years of practice to make such a powerful stroke. What are some things an amateur player like myself do to make a stroke more powerful to hit shots like these because when you were hitting these shots, you're playing on tournament cloth on your table and when you shoot the tournaments on tour, you're on tight fast cloth on those tables. In league, we shoot on tables that are like playing on carpet. How do you compensate for that?
@trumanhw
@trumanhw Жыл бұрын
everything does in pool. Like all things, even if you miss ... if you miss ANYTHING consistently ... you're an iota away from accepting it, adjusting that much, and making all of those you miss to the same location. If you miss within a margin of error (and roughly even distribution throughout out that range) you'll want to make sure you're hitting the CB hard enough to where it doesn't have time to masse much en route (huge effect if so and takes perfect feel for the humidity on the table). If you've got that down, put balls dead straight in, and practice being able to do a stop shot where the ball just twirls in that location for a minute or so ... the further away you can stop the cue ball from while making it spin quickly, the better is your concept of deflection for your cue, and the further away you can use spin even when cutting the ball or whatever else; it's the same shot ... the straight in part just allows you to be certain you know how to compensate for deflection with a particular amount of DISTANCE, SPEED, # of TIPS OFF CENTER, FOR THE CLOTH (grip) you're on. So you'll want to vary that to ensure you know how to do it at short range, sure (it'll look funny) ... then, to be able to do that?? with the CB 2 diamonds behind the side-pockets (near the break line) pocketing a ball that's 2-diamonds past the middle of the table going in to a corner diagonally (so you have distance from the OB and distance to the pocket) will let you test your accuracy. When you can do that you'll know when there's a path down the billiard line that goes right through two balls that are near the ball your pocketing ... and maybe using outside (as is often the case) to come off the rail back towards you ... that you can make the cue ball go in the direction & hit where you want. Don't assume you can ... practice it. :)

@capoman1
@capoman1 Жыл бұрын
I will add. If you are straight straight straight in like this, you can try either extreme english, but do not adjust aim since you are looking to cheat the pocket as much as possible to get an angle, if you aim to cheat the pocket, you will miss, because hitting hard with side causes cueball deflection and you will miss the ghost ball.... THUS aiming right at ghost ball hard with side english WILL MAKE IT AND GET THAT POCKET CHEAT you were looking for. I missed this shot for years, aiming to cheat the pocket is something I have always been good at, yet I always missed this shot. The key was that deflection made me miss. The adjustment was to not aim at a pocket cheat. Aim normal ghost ball. Deflection will cheat the pocket for you.
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen

@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen

I would handle it the same but only if I’m fairly close to the ball. Otherwise it becomes too risky. So no more than the first example on the 8. That’s still very doable on most equipment 😄👍🏼

Estas mesas de billar tienen las tronadoras más grandes de lo normal así que no es necesario pegarles bien para que entren las bolas 🤔

Great lesson. I still dump because of throw/deflection 😖

There's virtually no throw on these shots for a couple of reasons: 1) Almost every version of this shot requires a lot of speed, so the contact time between the cue ball and object ball is minimal... in other words, there's not enough time for friction to do its thing. 2) Speaking of friction, because this shot requires maximum side spin, the interaction between the cue ball and object ball has more a of a "sliding" effect (meaning the surface of the two balls aren't gripping as much, but instead are sliding off each other). As far as deflection, this will have to be accounted for, but in these situations you're usually going to be close to the object ball, so you don't have to change your aim too much. You can basically aim for a full ball hit and the inside English should deflect properly to make the shot.

Focus on doing the same thing every time and aiming plus hitting the same spot on the cue ball. If you vary too much you can’t get a feel for it cause your spin will vary each time 💪🏼👍🏼

On the1 ball shot could rail first be an option? Maybe easier to execute?

When the 1 ball Is fairly close to the corner yes big higher up, then you risk the scratch in the other corner or you have start drawing it 😄👍🏼

@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen Thanks for the feedback! I see that a sliding cueball or draw would be necessary to get shape and avoid a potential scratch.

My issue is I am almost always missing the shot when I put a lot of spin on the cue ball. do you have any videos that can help me with that?

Where do you hit the object ball?
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen
@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen Жыл бұрын
