Just a quick one you didn’t mention that may be helpful in my 2018 E class coupe whilst park assist is in operation if you wish to abort the function quickly you just have to grab the steering wheel and it cancels immediately 😊👍

My 2015 s350 has a '' Blue P '' light that pops up when driving slow in built up areas . However when I line up perpendicular to 2 parked cars with a car space in between the 2 cars , the white arrow light never comes on , and putting the car into reverse gives me no messages on the dash . Do I take it that I don't have Park Assist or am I doing something wrong ? tia.

@@killerhertzmercedes I have a 15 plate C220 Sport Premium Plus with "Active Park Assist", I have on a couple of occasions seen a display flash up when in a car park with side-by-side parking but it never stays up for long enough to see what it says but I'm assuming it is not the parallel parking system as that looks different on the display.

@@killerhertzmercedes @KillerHERTZ Mercedes sure it does, after parking assist you can get out by pushing on the indicator of your direction than D gear, the monitor shows the possibility to get the car out automatically. Try it.

I received a 2021 CLA 250 AMG as a courtesy car on Wednesday. It's now Sunday night and I've only just found out what this particular "P" is for; not knowing was starting to annoy me! Your video explains things completely, so many thanks! One thing (purely out of interest) - will the park assist manoeuvre the car into much shorter spaces than those you've shown?

Mine seems to ne really temperamental when it actually offers me the function yo select when you put oy in reverse. The blue park icon is yhere at thr top of the display alot but it doesn't always then give me the option to use it. And just now it totally balls up a park 😂😂

You could, but it would envolve changing so much kit that it wouldn't be worth the cost. modules, bumpers, re-coding, indicators on dash...

My S63 is fully loaded, but for whatever dumb reason, doesn’t have blind spot detection. Do you know if I can just pop out the side mirrors and put in the blind spot mirrors?

Not as simple as that, you will need all the sensors, modules, wiring loom and also get it coded via STAR.

Please help. I have a 2017 Slc 250 d amg line however it doesn’t steer itself. I have to steer it following an arrow that lights up on the dash filling it with blue until the required amount of steer has been executed. Is this normal or is there a way I can activate it to steer itself?

Yes, it uses Radar, not Light so all good.

The rear camera & parking sensors are totally different systems to this, your car needs to have an electric steering (Fly-By-Wire) set up. Regards

Possibly, but they mainly started appearing late in that year. Do you see a blue P when you slow down? if so, you have it.

As explained in the video, it only scans at speeds of 30mph or less, then when it sees a gap between 2 objects.

Parking assist features must cost at least a couple of Grand extra on the top of your car. Just a call it a novelty because that is exactly what it is a novelty if you can't park your car you should not be driving
