This was so helpful! I just got a vintage Nikon N80, with the manual, but you've made this so much easier!

I picked up one of these back in 2011 used for…..$20.00! Back then they were trying to give film cameras away because digital cameras were on the market. I remember that I had to buy it out of pity, because it was in excellent condition and just sitting there unwanted. This little guy has a place of honour among my Nikon shelf, right next to my F5,F100, and F bodies!

I bought this camera today for a very cheap price on a flea market! Even knowing how to use a Nikon D350, I was a little confused of the functions of the N80 (Yeah, sounds silly, but I'm jumping back to 35mm). Thanks man. Greetings from Mexico! 🙌

My son gave it to me in the late 1990s when I was studying photography at UMass-Amherst. It's not vintage to me, it's a well-loved companion. I used to shoot b/w film in school, where I learned how to develop and print b/w photos, which are still my favorite kind of photography. I bought a D90 later on but I don't really care for digital photography as much as I do film. The book that came with theD90 is huge! I felt like I needed a degree in engineering just to read the damned book. Taking photos with it is like putting a straightjacket on my brain! Not sure how I'll proceed nowadays without a darkroom at my disposal and in the midst of the COVID fiasco.

Hi! I have a problem! This configuration (f80 + battery grip) with the AF-S 24-85 f3.5-4.5 ED VR give me a problem. After I shoot charge indicator flashes and I can't do another shoot. I need to do on-off before shoot another frame. It happens with VR ON and also OFF. Do you know why? Thanks a lot.

I have this camera and after I loaded film and changed ISO the camera is just flashing error when trying to change aperture and shutter speed, do you know why that might happen or how to fix it?
@photographyandmore4 жыл бұрын
Hi Anna Kamens, It is likely that the film is not loaded correctly. Try reloading the film.

@@photographyandmore how do I take off the film to reload it without ruining it?
@photographyandmore4 жыл бұрын
@@isabelasilva9106 Hi, If the film is advanced you can do it by pressing the film rewind buttons in this video I show you how to do it: Advanced Functions Nikon N80 SLR Film Camera kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6CrpK16p8iKkJY If you just loaded the film and you have an error, open the back door since the movie has not advanced, and reload it.

Those batteries are a deal breaker man. Not as easy to find like a AA one.
@photographyandmore3 жыл бұрын
Hello R Menon, I know, we depend a lot on whether or not our camera batteries are so common. On the other hand, for some camera models they made battery grips, and fortunately for the Nikon N80 there is a battery grip that uses 4 "AA" batteries, the model of this battery grip is MB-16, maybe with a little luck you can to get one.
