Thank you SO MUCH for explaining why the low pH/peptides issue is a myth. I’ve only seen one other person explain this (Angie, Hot&Flashy) and I’ve given up trying to tell people. You’ll reach a wide audience & they trust you so, THANK YOU!!!! 😘

I used the Ordinary's Lash and Brow peptide serum for over a year. Initially nothing but over time 🎉. I have brows where I never had before and lashes I never had before. It's not like I have thick luxurious lashes but I have real eyelashes now

I would love it if you would make a video (have not seen anyone do this) of low PH products and high PH products and what that is actually doing for your skin. I feel that even working with skincare myself, my head will get a bit wonky when I get overloaded with what is low and what is high and how they work on the skin! Love ya and cannot wait to try some of your products ( right now I have so much I need to go thru but I am going to order!! xx

Great video Rob. Peptides are often only needed in tiny percentages. The 10% on an Ordinary product refers to the manufacturers peptide blend which contains other ingredients to help it work / keep it stable

Hi Rob as per my previous comment I just don't seem to derive that much benefit from "peptides" as far as anti aging is concerned. I think they can be hydrating and some of them can be soothing/calming, but otherwise they're not working for me as they seem to for others. I use a retinaldehyde and prescription azelaic acid (alternate nights), with a peptide serum morning and night (in the morning I also use antioxidants). I can't say the introduction of a peptide based targeted serum over the last few months has done anything much for me - in fact it can be a little drying some days (probably due to the HA and/or caffeine in the formulation). Prior to this I had used serums that contained a lower dose and amount of various peptides, but were more targeted at other things like soothing/calming or antioxidant boosts. Before I get another response about using HA correctly I know to apply to damp skin and use toners and essences beforehand for extra liquid to draw from, so this isn't the reason HA is drying on me. My skin just doesn't seem to respond well to it - perhaps due to my particular extremely dry skin, impaired barrier (due to rosacea and eczema) or even just the environment I live in. As with any ingredient one size most certainly doesn't fit all and I just don't get the hype. Best wishes.

I am yet another person confused about whether you can use peptides with Vitamin C. I believe this clears it up for me. It sounds like when you're using a multi-peptide serum that includes copper peptides, you don't need to worry about combining it with Vitamin C or retinal. But if you're using an exclusively copper peptide serum, you should probably avoid? I also (long time Niod CAIS-3 user before getting priced out) believed that copper peptide was special, and maybe this debunks that for for me. Thanks for another informative video xx
@lotuscabrio2937 Жыл бұрын
I heard from esthetician on tiktok hat multi pep with copper is not good with vitamine c. Vitamine c is acid. If its regular peptid eno copper it can be use with retinol. But regular peptide with vitamine c is not good,especially if its pure due to fact it blocks out.

Is this routine correct? Can I layer peptide serum with niacinamide, hyaluronic and retinol in the same routine? 1. cleanser 2. toner 3. essence 4. hyaluronic acid serum 5. niacinamide serum 6. peptide serum 7. retinol 8. moisturizer
@MadAboutSkin Жыл бұрын
Hi yes that's the right order :).. you might not need the HA serum as the ingredient will probably be in some of your other products so you could always skip it to save time .. love xx

I just recently (two weeks ago) overhauled my skincare routine and did everything you're not supposed to do. I switched from a pretty low dose retinol (the inkey list) to a retinaldehyde (Geek and Gorgeous 0.5) and introduced an azaleic acid all in the same time. Also switched vitamin c from the inkey list (that was kinda irritating my eyes from transfer) to the Geek and Gorgeous one and introduced arguiline too. Fortunatly, I knew that I have a thick skin that hardly ever gets irritated (except when I use resveratrol go figure). Now waiting for the results to come in.

I watched you Azelaic acid video last night and your serum looks amazing!! Do you have a rough idea of when it will be back in stock? Also, I'm curious if you have the pH of it? Alsoo, I currently use Timeless 20% vitamin c and ordinary copper peptides. Are those "too much" or too harsh to use together? Since they're both kind of intense haha. Thank you!

I've been looking into to the Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum from the Ordinary. On their site it explicitly tells not to use it with the following. Direct Acids Direct Vitamin C Resveratrol and Ferulic Acid Salicylic Acid EUK Retinoids Strong Antioxidants So according to your experience, simultaneously pairing these ingredients has not been an issue? Since it's a rather expensive product I wouldn't want to waste it by making it ineffective.

Olay peptide cream, like so many Olay or other big brand rubbish products, just irritated my skin. Boost Lab peptide serum is okay for me but doesn't do much and at the moment, I can't use much on my skin as I've had a flare up of perioral dermatitis :( My skin reacts to so many different things, I kind of give up on most skin care and actives :(
