Thanks, But how about if Only Temperature and Enthalpy is only given then it is a superheated because the given enthalpy is greater than the sat. Enthalpy?

i think its so basic, what we want now is how what is the meaning of the underline numbers, italic numbers, the numbers above the tables and the table to know where the saturation will start, this is too basic i swear i bought a steam table last week i just dunno how to use it, i aldy read books and still during interpolation i always fail in first attempt if u can do tutorial for that please we beg u :(

can you please make a video explaining how to construct the steam tables from scratch. how did they do it? if i wanted to verify a data point how do i recreate the experiment? how can you calculate the entropy, enthalpy, etc. what equipment do you use. they have to come from somewhere right? someone had to perform the measurements and experiments, right? how did they do it?? if civilization ended and you had to recreate the steam tables, how do you do it??

My thermodynamics textbook gives tables in both SI units and EE units. I suppose if your professor really wanted to make you work for it, they could give you values in EE units and make you convert to SI units, at which point you would have to use linear interpolation to even use your SI unit table. Then once you have the values you need, you would need to convert those back to EE units. That'd be a SAVAGE problem on an exam...I guarantee about 85% of the class would get it wrong

Can someone solve this question? Do I need to refer steam table to find the value of specific heat, specific latent heat & specific heat of steam as those information are not given? The question are as follows... "Determine the amount of heat needed to completely transform 1 g of water at 15°C to steam at 115°C".

+Anzer Aziz With saturated steam, you can only set one variable. Once you pick a pressure, the temperature and all other properties are fixed. Please listen at 1:15 for more explanation on this.

But all the numbers you made examples with are just there in the table. Sometimes you are given 1140kpa. 1140kpa is not on the table. How do you go about it?

You need to interpolate in the steam tables. See screencasts on interpolation
