Apologies if I missed this during the discussion, but I wondered, if you already have a YT channel is it better to create a separate channel for your video podcast? I've seen some creators do this (including Roberto), but some creators have their video podcasts on their main channels. I just wondered whether there were advantages to having it separate? Thanks for the great information😊

It really depends on what your overall strategy is. Some creators will make a separate playlist for their video podcast, others will have a separate channel. Regarding your video podcast, how does it fit within your overall channel? Is it related? If so, I would consider going with the playlist/shelf option. If it's unrelated and your channel is branded as something else, I might consider a separate channel, provided you can manage two channels at once. Christian Karasiewicz 🦆

I created a playlist on my KZbin channel for podcasts. Roberto made this a year ago. KZbin is creating a button for channels listing podcast, I haven't seen it on my channel yet, but other people have had their channels updated with the podcast button. My podcast is personal growth which is theme consistent with my channel, so it makes sense, and is easier to keep the content in one place. I can see if your podcast would not be of interest to your main channel subscribers, you might have a separate channel for the podcast.

I’m curious as I have a very similar setup. M1 iMac and Yetticaster…. Anytime I tried to use the KZbin streamer the audio would fade in and out with my Yetticaster. The only thing that would completely fix it is to completely not use the Logitech software. It works fine without it but not quite as good audio. Have you experienced this?

How do you put your different topics at the bottom where it switch when you change subjects live

You can add banners to your Brands folder. When you switch to another, you could put up the banner. This would need to be done by either you or your Producer. Great question. You can download the audio from your StreamYard Studio. From there, you need to have a place to host your podcast. If you do, you apply to Apple Podcasts, and can set up a show there. I was in the same boat. I already was paying for the basic zoom subscription which was 14.95 a month. The basic for Streamyard is 20 a month. For another 6 bucks, you get much much more. I 'm happy I cancelled zoom, and went with Streamyard.

I realize you're trying to simplify equipment need. However, each time you talk about all the gadgets you have and explain how they're used and why you use them, it puzzles me. Do as you say or as you do?

Start small and build. Remember, some equipment can perform double duty. For example, a Rodecaster Pro can be used for feeding your mic for live streaming, but also for recording an audio podcast. The same for lighting, your camera (meetings, live, pre-recorded), etc. Christian Karasiewicz 🦆
