Hello Carolina, will you demonstrate how to create the corner pockets for those of us who had placed the binding on the quilt before adding the corner pockets? Thanks

Caroline. I love watching your videos and I will be getting this ruler for sure. I love the block but have never been able to make it work so this process looks great. A suggestion though - when showing the features of the rulers, try using a plain white sheet of paper behind the ruler. It makes it a lot easier to see all the lines and info on the ruler. Thanks for all you do.

Hi Lyn! Thanks for the kudos, and the request! Good to know that you'd like to see the ruler in more detail. 🥰

Yes. I’ve seen other educators do that with ruler demos. I think everyone watching would actually benefit from that. Thx.

The part where you said it doesn't matter which direction you press: it actually is supposed to be clipped in the middle and pressed to both sides to prevent this from being an issue and presenting both sets of seams :)

Oh, interesting! I'm not a fan of clipping seam allowance because it weakens rhe seam at that point ... but there are always decisions to make... bulk vs. weakened seam... and make the decision that works best for your project.

@@CarolinaMoore that center section is trimmed off, I believe, so it's a moot point but does help the block lie squarely for ruler use and marking :)

Aha! Good to know!

Too bad I couldn’t see what’s on the ruler because of the dark grid background 😩

I'm curious ... why you feel this way? The ruler lines only matter when you're actually using the ruler. This video is about how it works and what the block looks like. Once you have the ruler, you see the lines and it all makes sense...

@@CarolinaMoore I’m not buying it to see what’s on it. I want to see the product before I shell out my $$. Nice job demonstrating some features though. You could just use plain fabric. When you are pointing them out. Also, now that you ask, the two print fabrics were both too busy to really see the finished block.

@@deannabosch1434 I agree. I think I should switch tonlighter-colored solid fabrics for future demos. I'm always learning!! 🥰

@@CarolinaMoore I agree. It would be better. I look forward to seeing more - and buying rulers.
