Dexnav and mega evolution are the best features introduced to any Pokemon game. And the fact that both were released for ORAS just makes the game one of the all time best ever imo. Such a beautiful game! Have played it so many times and can still never get tired of it, even 6 years later

If you Guys Can't Find the Pokemon as in the Search fails just walk around to another patch of grass and research and go for the Pokemon once it pops up again. If somethings random pops up go for that pokemon even though it's not the pokemon your hunting for it will keep your chain alive!

Yes if you take to long then the pokemon will run away and break your chain.

I have had this game for a few years, and just ignored it after getting my 2nd Gym Badge and forgetting where to go when I picked it back up 2 years later and again last week. Starting Pokemon Go last month sparked a new interest (and warm love) into ORAS. I played several of the Gameboy versions and they all have a certain kind of charm. I wiped my save and restarted with Mudkip instaed of Torchic. He's just as adorable lol. This game is really growing on me fast, and I only just got to Petalburg and got dissed by a certain relative...lol. Any advice for what I am starting to believe is one of the BEST Pokemon games ever made would be greatly appreciated. Any Digimon: Cyber Sleuth 1 or 2 PS Vita fans? Got a note!! pokemons in your dexnav are able to fled when you try to sneak up to them. And this WILL break your chain!

If you take to long to encounter the pokemon it will Flee and if you Scare the Pokemon away it will also break the Chain.

it's an awesome Shiny! Don't Worry about Breaking a Chain. Dexnav is a fixed rate. just do as many encounters as you can for joltik when you got the time to shiny hunt.

The chaining on DexNav doesn't change anything on Shiny encounter rate, it's not like the PokéRadar, however, chaining while searching for the shiny will make the shiny come with better abilitys, IVs, etc.

+pebkie chain or no Chain. You will find a shiny pokemon at some point because of using the dexnav. So yes you can run away. It does not ruin your odds of a shiny pokemon.

I use search level as a kinda "You found 167 of this pokemon" It really helps to keep count of how many of this one pokemon i found, and to know how long i took to get a shiny, and DexNav shiny odds are around 1/350

As I watched this video, I happened across an Absol holding a Life Orb. Apparently, those can only be found via the DexNav. It will definitely save me a lot of BP!

Oh yeah. A lot of them had Life Orbs, including the Shiny Absol (which was the 93rd in the chain.)

this helped me back in Feb of last year I got Omega ruby and that was the day I was developing the flu and I was in the doctors office and I found a shiny ralts from dexnav

I was breeding Shroomish and had 3 boxes full of them. When I went to use the dex nav to hunt for Pokemon in the Petalburg Forest and checked Shroomish search level it was in the 105. When before breeding Shroomish it was saying search level 15

Since you Were Breeding every time you Hatched an Egg the Search Lvl went up since you Encountered a brand new Shroomish!
