Hello and thanks for the video! Is there a way that i can get my boat in the water and make a route just by driving it to the destination? Will it save it so that i can go to the destination exactly the same way??

Hey Marc, just to be clear since I haven't had much luck with my question, can I buy any charts off of the Garmin webtsite & upload them to my striker? I know now after buying a striker that I should have bought a ecomap but before I sell it I can get charts for it without making them it would save me some trouble.. Thanks

The striker series does not allow you to upload maps to it. You would need an Echomap to do that.

I’m struggling for decent settings . What settings do u have for down and side scan

What settings are you struggling with? If I mess with stuff to much I sometimes have to reset and start over. Also I have had issues when I do not have the transducer mounted correctly.

You will have to make a contour map. The built in map has no contour data it is a blank page. You can still create waypoints and tracks you just will not have any idea where there are on the lake.

The striker series unit is just the 9SV. The Garmin Echomap series has another number to denote which maps that unit comes with.

One came on my used boat. Good for depth finder, but nav and maps are very useless.
