How to use the Mendota Fireplace Remote

My pilot is on, I feel warmth close to the fireplace, but no "visible" flames apart from the pilot. That's even with max flames settings.

Mendota fireplaces are the worst products you can buy. They are expensive and you are constantly chasing it in order to work. The remotes, the receivers, the pilots...everything constantly needs replacing. We ordered two Mendotas and both had to have the brains switched out, the remotes replaces, the receivers replaced and we are still chasing its mechanisms. Inconsistent and painful. They do not support their products either. Save your money, time and effort buy ANYTHING ELSE but Mendota.

macgillacuddy Absolutely agree. I live in Altoona, PA and my dealer is an ass. Was supposed to come and clean mine last January. It is now October!

I am also having lots of trouble with the remote. Extremely poor battery life, bad display, and mode button not working. Looking at Amazon reviews I can see I am not the only one with these problems.
