The worst part is that she is the best of the Ice blades, so in Theory, you would only use her if you want a good Ice blade. Meaning like Pokémon, you’d never use an Ice-type because they come too late and most die too easily unless you want a challenge or have picked good ones. Like Theory/Mamoswine and Weavile and Froslass and Galarian Darmanitan

You know the worst part about Theory's battle skills is that in order to get her, the quest involved makes you have to fight her old Driver. Who seems to get like 5 seconds of 100% evasion for seemingly no reason and deal about 660 damage to your stupid AI teammates, quickly killing them because you dared do this blade quest during Chapter 7 and it becomes literally the worst thing to have to deal with because your party has about 3-4k health depending on your blade setup.

Conveniently enough, Ice-types suck in both games. That is how you know you are a fan of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Pokémon; you know there are no good Ice-types, just good Pokémon/blades that happen to have the Ice typing.

On my first playthrough, she was consistently used on due to the katana arts Morag. I would upgrade Steadfast to 100% instead of 70%. Conviction would be 75%. Aerial Flashdance would be upgrade to 1200% at max level so it would be more useful. Ice slash would have 590 damage ratio at max affinity to be a bit better.

Spike damage is such a disappointment. Would've been cool to defeat enemies or at least deal a solid chunk of damage from tanking hits alone.

Although I prefer Praxis, Theory is definitely up there for me as well. I'd wager she's the most useful Katana in the game besides Percival, and I really love her story with Praxis and their quests. Still have trauma from the fight with her driver though.

Evasion is funny. I was able to beat that stupid level 91 side quest monster with my party being in the mid 60s with Brighid Aegaeon and Theory (plus foresight) despite being pretty bad at this game. Also I put the megalances on Rex so it's nice to know that as far as "I only use Blades that don't show up in random core crystals for consistency" goes my party is somewhat optimal. Anyway I'm guessing that Herald is next.

Which is weird since Telos was free but Poppibuster was paid, so you'd think people would care more about paid content since that's where the worth should be. And his sidequest was really cool showing us that grampypon Soosoo is still alive; I liked him a lot more personality wise than tryhard edgelord Telos whom I never thought was that interesting. So that's why I feel like he was overshadowed by her.

Just dropping in to say I finished the quest to get her last night and... fuck that boss fight. I was overlevelled and that Valdemar dude still took me down like 10 times. Then I switched to the most bonkers blades I had, just for him and I still lost. I genuinely needed like 2 hours to figure this stupid gimmick. Then I thought, wait a minute, why not just burst him down before he gets down to half health? Yeah, Orb Master and Corvin with his ridiculous party gauge gain did the trick.

Well, at least she has a cool design. To be honest, I find her quite good to make ice combos but normally I don't go for ice because for me Volcano is just too good and I have other priorities when building good teams for tough battles in BoC. For the normal game though, Theory is a good blade. It reminds me a bit of Wulfric: decent blades but completely overshadowed by DLC monster blades.

Hey Enel and everyone. I'm on chapter 5 (just got Zeke) and was curious if I should be using 3 tanks on Morag, 3 attackers on Rex, and 3 healers on Nia or what an ideal combination is for midgame? I don't really like using Tora since I just feel more limited but in xenoblade 1 i used every party combination imaginable.
