Thanks! No quality is lost. ASIO stands for Audio Stream Input/Output. That's simply the driver protocol, which is what's pretty much universally used for all USB interfaces, including this type of mic. The audio itself is not affected by the protocol, only the way in which the data is handled by the system.

@@FredDeckerNC Way to take a lighthearted reply literally! Look, the tutorial is as accurate and as thorough as you're going to find out there. And so what if I don't talk like a robot? Just 'cause you look and talk like you pass the basket on church every Sunday to expiate for some naughty thoughts about the kids you coach on little league, it doesn't mean everyone has to do the same. Lighten up a bit. How do you like that reply for a "helpful" one?

You listed a bunch of adjectives and I thought it would be funny and lighten things so you wouldn't think I was attacking you to half-jokingly say that we shouldn't forget to be helpful while trying to be silly. But I didn't take your presentation as being at all silly, just not comfortable and having to fill space. And different strokes for different folks, there are probably people who talk on the street the way you talk in this video for whom it would not be distracting. I think you would have more followers and get your messages across better if you organized things a bit better and laid off the F-Bombs. You were probably taught like I was that we are being lazy when we need to resort to obscenities. I think it's great you took the time to do this, and you have potential to do better. I'm not a prude and don't believe in Religion, I curse too. I was just commenting that there "is a time and place". You wouldn't go to a job interview in a bathing suit. I think you could be more effective by working on your presentation style, planning things a bit ahead, and laying off the use of obscenities in a public tutorial. People go to Toastmasters to learn how to be better speakers and communicators, I imagine podcasters learn from others to improve their skills as well. Another example was in the first 10 seconds you tell people they don't need to watch your video, "Stop wasting time with this video there's nothing else you are going to learn from this", but then you go on for 12 more minutes. Have the confidence to not discount your message.

So, first you shit all over my video, then all of the sudden I gotta assume it's all for funsies, but the moment I throw a jab at you, you get all preachy and try to educate me and... help me, in some sort of a twisted way? Dude, pick a lane and stick to it. Mine is the musician/engineer who likes dick jokes, and I'm fine with it. There's plenty of the rest out there. Why would I copy more of the same only to please Megan's Law meets Erik Estrada? If you don't like this, go elsewhere. I'm sure there's a bunch of people out there who could actually use a confusing daddy figure who hugs them a bit too uncomfortably after beating them with their favorite toy. Keep searching my dude! Don't give up on your dreams! And for the love of whatever you hold dear in life, learn to use paragraphs. Reading that dribble was like cleaning my urethra with warm Everclear.
