you need to try an app call Alarmy. In order to turn off the alarm you need to take a picture of something you choose. I choose a pic of my fridge, and i dont have any choice of wake up every morning to take the pictureof the **** fridge. Also, you can not snooze for more than 3 times, and you cant´t turn off the phone when the alarm is ringing, and btw it sounds like a nuclear alarm or something.

That's exactly my situation! I'm using an app called Alarmy and it's a godsend! The only difference being now, from time to time, I have to up the complexity level of puzzles. It helps me to get out of bed, kind of. It also made me better at math, now I'm noticing that I can count quicker in my mind without reaching for a calculator all the time.

I’ve been waking up at 5am since watching this. It’s been 1.5 month now. I use the Sleep Cycle app, and it actually helps me not to feel like a zombie the whole day like the normal alarm. And I go to bed around 1030pm. Waking up early has changed my life positively. I usually find myself running out of time, being panicked because of that and then develop a habit of having panic attack for no reason. Now I have more time to learn new things, do what I need to do, feel more confident. Just like Jocko Willink said: “Discipline means freedom “.

As a Muslim, we ve 5 prayers per day, each prayer takes around 5 minutes, the first prayer is the earliest one, for example for now it is at 4:45 am, the time of prayer is changeable over the year, because of the daylight difference, day is longer in summer than in winter. So technically a conservative Muslim wakes up early all the days of his life. Peace and love to all, it's just something from our culture that I wanted to share.

Can I ask why you have to pray 5 times a day and at certain times ? In my christian faith praying is a blessing (as I’m sure it is to your faith), to have the opportunity to build a relationship with God as we thank him and ask him for favours. But instead of structured prayer times It is in our hearts to pray and seek God at our own will whenever we please.
@foodengineer17636 жыл бұрын
Rachel Ann97 You can pray whenever you want but not less than those 5 times, why 5 times, from my point of view, it's to spread the minimum over the day to keep your heart in touch with God, I personally experienced it, it gives you such an amazing feeling, and it was one thing that helped me fighting depression. I hope I could reply to your comment,

I want to wake up to do bible study or spend time with God and scripture. The reason I do this is because when people wake up, they don't have the mindfulness to go against every bad habit or mindset they may have in the day. For example, I might go to work honestly dreading the day but if I read a scripture that says, "I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me!" I believe that I can change my views and outlook of my day. I also wouldn't mind writing an affirmation for myself and meditating on it over and over again in the morning! Not to mention how much pleasure I would get by waking up and taking a Long nice shower and doing all I need to do ahead of time so that I don't go to work late and so that I get some personal "me time" in the morning! ^_^

I woke up at 5 a.m. for many years, mostly because I had to in order to workout, have some prayer/Bible study time, get ready and get my young son to school before I went in to work. A year and a half ago I changed jobs, moved so my son could ride the bus and I was closer to work. Then I started getting up at six. But there are still so many things I want to do in a day, like morning pages and a financial check in. You have inspired me to get up earlier again. I'm aiming for that 5 a.m. again, working every day/week to get a up a little earlier. From this video I really loved that 5 second rule tip. Putting that into play tomorrow!

My morning ritual begins with a glass of warm water, taking my vitamins and doing the face routine while the coffee is brewing. Then I stretch and do my exercise routine, take my meds, and spend about 5 minutes writing down what I am grateful for or what I appreciate. Then I go through my planner and sort out my day, week & Month. My why is sleeping still - he's 6 and he's my world. I get about an hour of me time before he wakes up. Egads! This is quite a change from a year ago. I'm getting better sleep, going to be earlier than I have in a long time, and able to start my mornings in a way that helps me be more productive and is helping me reach my goals to create a better life for my son and I

I’m definitely an early morning person. I get up at 3:30am. It sounds awful, but it took a little while as I was seeing in-person clients and was commuting an hour. Now that we moved closer, I still get up at this time but now use that time to start writing and reading. When going to bed, I put “do not disturb” on, set 4 alarms, and sit my phone screen down before lying in bed. As soon as I get up, strong coffee is my friend and walk my pups. Nice little brisk 15-min walk while sipping on coffee does wonders. :) most of the time, I’ll then read someone else’s blog or watch someone’s video who’s made it where I want to be and that really motivates me to get started. I’ll then start with the one thing I want and need to finish for the day. Love these tips!

Reed's Wellness and Fitness Training what time do you go to bed to wake up that early?
@WellnesswithJoshua6 жыл бұрын
Around 11. :) I also take naps when I can and on the weekends (mainly Sundays since I work with clients on Saturdays at 7am), I sleep in until about 8 or 9. Just depends. I make it a point to listen to body when I'm tired though.

So I have ALWAYS been a morning person. I love getting up early, and totally an old lady, cuz I am in bed by 9pm every night. That quiet time is beautiful, before the sun comes up (or in the summer for us in ND as the sun is coming up). That is my prayer time, journal time, gym time...me time. I get some water first thing and since it's cold it just wakes my whole body up. Throughout Lent I'm fasting caffeine (which is hard) but I'm finding my body doesn't NEED it...I'm in control of that. So go drink some water!!!

It's so cool that I'm watching this video again this week! This was the first video I ever watched of Amy's, and I was diggin her vibe so much that I watched from the very first video on this channel all the way through. I'm not quite caught up yet (this video was posted 5-ish months before I made this comment), but this week I started actually getting up at 5am to do a 30 minute cardio session every day, and then start my day right before work, so it's serendipitous I'm getting to it again this week. After watching this video the first time, I was able to start getting up at 6:30, and then zoned out watching youtube for a while before work (not the best time spent, but a HUGE step forward from being late to my 11AM's in college). I showed this video to my sister a bit more than a week ago, and was motivated to start going after the total life that I want, including being fit, rather than just obsessing over career improvement. Three of the five workdays this week have started off with cardio, the fourth I specifically did not do cardio because I had a workout class later in the day, and this morning I was able to meet an old friend for breakfast because I have gained the ability to wake up so early! Thank you, Amy. I love watching your videos and have learned so much for you. I am so happy that you made the pivot to including lifestyle and productivity, because it has helped me, who will probably never own my own business (because of my chosen dream-field) to learn about myself, and helped me to go after the life that I want. I wish you all the health and happiness, and look forward to growing with you in the future!!

One of my 2020 goals is to wake up at 5am every morning so I started Christmas Day to get into the routine. I've been waking up and almost immediately going for a 60-90 minute walk because I don't get any fresh air in my work day and spend most of it standing still. By the time I get back from my walk it's the time I'd usually get be getting up and ready for work so I just continue with my day as normal. I've been pretty lucky with the weather so far but hopefully by the time I get a bad day I'll be in the habit of going and won't fall back on excuses.

Rina Sôma Same. Which is practically throwing your life away. The night has better things going on. Nothing is open or happens at 5am except maybe the gym and even that’s iffy because not all places will open that early depending on where you live. Stores aren’t open, restaurants aren’t open, you can’t drink, the birds chirp and it’s annoying as hell, traffic is awful and school buses are everywhere. What’s the fun in being up in the morning? Nothing.

Your video popped up on my home page so I thought I’d check it out because I have trouble getting up in the morning and I need me time. When you said go to bed earlier I said to myself this lady is crazy because she obviously has no kids. I have a 2yo and a 5mo and even if they are both asleep the 5mo will wake at least once or twice but I kept watching and even if I can’t get to bed much earlier I do see the value and rewards from getting up early. At least my family doesn’t get up before 8 or 9 so extra time in the morning will be great. Nice video.

I feel so fresh when I wake up early in the morning! ♥️ I feel that living in a big city, time goes by so fast, but getting out of bed early and staying active (morning run, cooking, running errands, finishing up hw, stretching, reading some interesting material, listening to podcasts, visiting family, going to the pool, reflecting, etc.) before work or a doctor's appointment has you left with so much more free time for yourself✨

I appreciate the tips! While it’s a great idea to put your phone in another room - MANY of us have college age kids or older parents / sibling/ family members, making it impossible to follow this rule. Since letting go of my landline, my smart phone is the only means of communication in an emergency, I choose to keep it in my sleeping area. Before he passed away, my older brother was in a nursing home (young w Alzheimer’s), I often received late night calls requiring my attention. When my daughter occasionally calls late night, I WANT to be there for her. For me, personally, while I understand the advice, that tip from Arianna and you just doesn’t work in my (and others in my situation) - sandwich generation

My routing is soon to change due to new things happening so I will do the 4.30am or 5am wake up time. Literally watching this at 6 AM. I always tell myself that I have to get out of bed. I can take a nap in the noon if I need to, but waking early is a must. Doing things that I love to do before work gives me motivation to wake up. And tbh practicing FAM (fertility awareness method) helps soooo much with keeping up with the habit.
