Hi Jay Jay I'm sorry that you are or were struggling, I would advise you to keep reading the word, pray in your own way, tell God that you are struggling, ask for strength and stay away from people and places that will drag you back into the world!!! Try to find a mature Christians who knows the word and is live according to the word to talk to, and check everything they tell you against the word, check out some videos like this one and spend time listening, and if ever you fall/fail do not give up, you are loved, God do not give up on us, Psalms 37:24 even when you fall, you are not utterly cast down: for the Lord uphold you with His right hand. We are not under the law where we have to sacrifice for atonement and we don’t have to circumcise (acts 15) the moral law is contextual and Jesus came to fulfill the law by giving us the Spirit to change our hearts. Roman’s 13:10 is important because if you love your neighbor you will fulfill the law.
