This was very helpful, thank you!

Thanks for the video, our dc07 started having some suction issues through the main area so i figured might as well give her a clean to see if that helps. The hose works fine though.

"Hoovah" is slang for vacuum overseas since early 1900's; 'Hoovah' can be a verb or a noun, as well, in the case of slang. Good video - I am going to give my DC07 a "once-over" tomorrow!

The blue soft donut is one filter. The yellow casing it sits in is another filter and it’s the important one! I learnt this the hard way only washing the blue one. I was hoping this video told me an easier way to wash the yellow part bc it’s the worst ever! Dyson told me only to use cold water and to hold it up to the light to see if u can see light thru it. If u can’t see light thru it it’s not good enough.

awesome, thanks for the demo

Pre motor filter should be washed in COLD water, not hot. No detergent. Instructions are on the pre motor filter casing.

People still using these yes. I've just changed the motor £20 for the first time, and the hoses £16, and on we go for another long period. The main problem as they age is the plastic is brittle and pulling some bits apart is a struggle.

Thing is, the bottom HEPA filter is not supposed to be cleaned, as noted in the owner's manual which can be found on the internet as pdf file. Also there's nothing here about removing the bin, cleaning it and (possibly) brushing out the intake holes (they'e not supposed to get wet...which i accidentally did.
@RSPYT5 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry about that I assumed removing the bin would be easy enough for people to work out. I washed the cyclone in the bath. They can get wet it's fine.

i just managed to get it out with a tiny crack , brushed it ,hoovered the motor. will buy a replacement filter. the dc07 is a beast , id put it against any vax.
@lulutorres52845 жыл бұрын
Ya know, I thought mine was pretty much a beast, too. But for some odd reason it has lost suction. I've cleaned all filters (there was a serious dog hair build-up in HEPA), roller, etc. But no clue as to why it won't pick up. I see there's a vid on cleaning the vortex cyclone even though the manual sez don't. Effing manual.
@brubeck15 жыл бұрын
damn thats a shame to hear , there are many videos on YT, the cyclone can become very glogged. hope you have some luck with it.

Let's see.. I change my old bagged vacuum cleaner's bag and replace it with a new one. Seems like less work time for me. And it IS cheaper. Do you have a lot of spare time to waste on a vacuum and wait for parts to dry. I don't.

Lol use a kirby for its five usa bucks a pop aka five dollars for every hepa vacuum bag rated at h11 so the minimum retention of dirt is 95%

When you put soap in it, it leaves soap suds in it, clogging it up so when soap is used, suction will not be at its best
