16 months ago I found a nice 2012 White Toyota Tacoma with 52k miles. It was a well cared for Fleet Truck. Then a direct hit from Hurricane Ida and our vehicles had to sit outside while my garage would become our “lifeboat” for the next 10 months while our damaged home was being repaired. Moving back into the house made room for our vehicles to get back inside the garage. The white truck took a real beating from the heat, humidity, acid rain, industrial fallout, Saharan Dust , bugs and bird poop etc. It looked like a mildewed “Dalmatian”. It took me 6 days of work but using Josh’s Suggestions, techniques, and product recommendations and it really came out better than I could ever have imagined it. @@imjoshv failure of roofing shingles due to extreme high winds in excess of 150 mph caused water intrusion which required removal of drywall and insulation. The biggest headache by far was trying to deal with an insurance company that was being slow to pay out and lowballing on insurance damage estimates. There are still far too many people still out of their homes as they continue to have issues in getting prompt assistance and a reasonable amount for their losses. And yes, I gave gotten much out of your videos and I’ve learned much about proper car car and detailing procedures. Thanks again Josh.

Got some of this to try based on your video/review. Tried it on my wife's daily driver which is parked outdoors. It's a new car that I applied a graphene coating (Adam's Advanced) to the day it came home from the dealer. This was it's first wash after being outdoors for 3+ weeks and it came out very good. Great foam with your version of the MJCC foam canon. I used DI water for the wash and rinse and didn't dry. I'll be using this every few weeks to keep the car looking nice and do a hand wash every month or so. Thanks!

Tried this today, i normally use Adam's Mega Foam and it works ok but not amazing. This wash definitely looks and feels cleaner. My thing though is the areas behind the wheels where wet road water created those annoying black spots I'd say are 80% cleaner, still there but light colored. The tail gate is maybe 85% cleaner. Those black spots seems like they're impossible to get without a hand wash, and this SUV sucks up air and dirt onto the tailgate a mile down the road after a full wash. Impossible to keep the back end truly clean, but you do need to get up close on the tail gate to really see it which is nice. The rest of the car though from the paint, windows, wheels, and tires are easily 90-95% clean. It looks great in those areas.

you should still do contact wash even after a good pre wash. The point is that pre wash could possibly reduce the chance dirt and small racks that damage your paint.

@@willdamian1066 I mean unless you're using a DI system the only ways to prevent water spotting is to first of all make sure your drying towel is clean, your wash bucket has clean water in it, and you're drying it really fast. That's really it. Down here in Florida, it doesn't really matter what you spray onto the vehicle as a bead maker, the water is going to evaporate so quick. Most of the time in dead summer, one side of the vehicle will be dry by the time I even get around to the other side.

SUPER IMPORTANT QUESTION, I know you have a gravity fed setup, but I’m using a water pump on my setup that shoots 30gpm, is that too much water going into a 1800psi ryobi? I turn on the pump then let water go through the pressure washer and through my hose reel, and then I turn on the pressure washer but it gets SUPER loud and doesn’t stop so I have to turn off the pressure washer. If I had to guess it has something to do with the gpm going into the pressure washer right, I just wanted to ask if you know the max gpm for water going into pressure washers or if 30gpm is just way too much, thanks!

Dawn is great at stripping, but it does have micro abrasives in it and can cause dulling over time. BUT, if youre using it as a touch less option i wonder if its that bad becuase you wouldnt be rubbing any of the abrasives on the paint... I might have to try and test that

I dont think you should. The autoglym kit is pretty good to use or the others. Slightly make it damp, use a APC or convertible fabric cleaner and scrub lightly with a mid bristle brush, dry it and use a protector. Anything with wax or snow foam could maybe damage and make more work for yourself in terms of drying.

It can, They state it is safe for coated vehicles. My work truck was coated about 5 years ago and this stuff helped to cut through everything on top of it that was effecting the hydrophobic properties.

Chem-X is the truck wash. Stars and Stripes is his touch less wash products and he has snake oil which is a spray on sio2 coating type thing. It honestly looks like it works great but who knows what pressure he's using. Just found out 2500 psi at 4GPM!!!! That's fucking nuts!!

Their website Q&A for the Stars and Stripes says not a problem, it’s within the pH tolerance of ceramic coatings. The Snake Oil is a ceramic sealant but I don’t do it every wash. It seems to hold up well.

Thats right Chem X! I would think it works very well, but they do mention to rinse thoroughly with a high psi pressure wash and stay 6-12" from the surface. I typically use 900-1200psi so so im not sure if thats high enough. My pressure washer has a ton of flow (gpm) so im sure it would be great but just something to note. Also the first product that goes on they do mention it can cause streaking on polished aluminum so you probably need to work pretty fast. This Gyeon product does it all in one and comes off the panel as neutral.

I’m not getting that affect with this product for some reason. I dilute as directed. I’m using the MJJC VS3 foam cannon. I sprayed on the vehicle. Let it sit for a minute then rinse off. But the car still had a lot of dirt on the vehicle. So I had to contact wash it. Maybe I have too high of an expectation? I was expecting it to pretty much make all dirt rinse right off. SOS

he let it sit on there 3 minutes, i wouldnt do it on a warm day unless cars not been in the sun and has a cool surface. If you have a performance car with a hot engine dont let it warm up or your hood and fenders will be warmed up and you'll get water spots.

I use ONR blue at a 128:1 mix ratio and apply it with a pump sprayer to my Opticoat Pro+ coated black car. It works well to help remove any loose dirt, dissolve chemical deposits and soften up contaminants. Its high lubricity helps to prevent micro scratching when I hit it with a pressure rinse. I also fortify the hand wash detergent solution at 256:1 with the ONR to minimize contact friction with my wash mitt. This has worked well for me in not inducing any scratches or swirls in my very highly polished black car
