I bought a 50 ft soaker hose 2 weeks ago and so far I like it. You can turn it on and walk away for an hour and come back and have no runoff and the area is water deeply. Plus you use less water.I heard they are great for vegatable gardening too

It's very hard for my grass to get shade at all it in sun from 6:00am in the morning to 6:30 in the pm 😟😟 so it's vary hard to water in the morning I will have to get up at 4:30 in the morning just to water before it gets very hot at here in ca...and that in the summer

It's serious here in Texas bro. Hot as fish grease. Watering with sprinkler system 30 minutes per zone twice a week. I used lesco and milargonite earlier in season so my yard is holding up fine.

we have got rain for 24 hours straight now..Whats good about this rainfall is most of the 24 hrs its been a soft rain.Maybe 1-2 hours where it came down a little harder.I cant do a screwdriver in most places in my lawn .Now I can easily lol

I switch sprinklers from the style you have to ones that spins 360° and my grass turned on me like a cheating spouse. Tomorrow I will water with the style you have after work (Yeah I know I shouldn't, but no choice). About 50% of my backyard went into dormancy,30% is dark green, and 20% is light green going dormant. The rotating ones look cool, I don't feel the water coverage is worth it.

Have you ever had a traveling sprinkler? I've had two and they're really convienient.

They are really fun. When I was a kid we had a Melnor Roll-n-Reel that wound its own hose as it went along. Currently and for the last twenty five years I've had a Nelson RainTrain tractor. I'm searching through eBay and such looking for a National Walking Sprinkler because travelers need gear rebuilds every one in a while. The National which is the original traveler is available with all metal gearing and needs only grease occasionally. Revolving sprinklers cover quickly and very evenly.

m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGfGf5JvoNZmmLM This is the National B3 which is available with metal mechanicals. Nobody makes these anymore but they were very convenient but not the best build quality. Fortunately back then as today, Melnor customer service was outstanding. I still buy their stuff. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZ2Zhmiefpl0la8

BYD help! My Bermuda lawn started producing seed heads 2 days after mowing. Been doing it for about a month, I’m in Phoenix with 105-115 days temps now. Is my lawn stressed out? I mow every Saturday but by Monday I have seed heads on the whole lawn
@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral6 жыл бұрын
xnivektonx no it’s not stressed, that’s a natural and healthy characteristic of Bermuda Grass. Unfortunately it’s unsightly. The only one thing I’d recommend is to increase cutting to twice a week but only mow high enough to cut seed heads off. Eventually it will stop, also make sure the blade is sharp on mower. Now you could do a growth regulator but with temps like that I’d hold off.
@xnivektonx6 жыл бұрын
Bermuda Grass Central ok I thought it was stressed out. I’ll start cutting twice a week and see what happens. Thanks a lot and keep up the awesome work man! You’re helping alot of people out there!!

Need help. I got some new seed coming princess 77 but not sure if I should put it down
@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral6 жыл бұрын
Marvin Jones it could be a number of things. Did you get soil test this year? Could be from lack of water 💦 in certain places in lawn. Maybe you cutting height is to low for conditions. If lawn is not growing cut back to once a week. Generally around August your Lawn will start to slow in growth. When was the last fertilizer app?
@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral6 жыл бұрын
Marvin Jones as for the princess 77, I would have probably went with the same type grass seed that you have now. But if it’s hybrid Bermuda sod there are no such seeds. Which means if you over seed you’ll have two types of grasses growing together and there’s nothing wrong with that but the colors will probably be different. Princess 77 is more high maintenance than most so it will be a call you’ll have to make. Hopes this helps 👍🏾

@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral4 жыл бұрын
D .R watering will depend on you. If it’s raining 🌧 I’d suggest you don’t water at all. Once or twice a week should be sufficient. Water 💦 early morning hours so water can absorb then sunlight later will help it grow.
