How to Waterproof Connections to Fixed Building Elements

@@schlutersystems1 I need to install ceramic around a window, but at the top of the window it is curved, how do I bend the metal without turning the metal face down?

Hi Tony, we would recommend using a DILEX-BWA between the window and the tile. It is easy to radius by sniping the anchoring leg out every couple of inches in a triangle shape like we do with our pre-snipped radius profiles. If you want a metal profile on top of the tile, you can purchase one or make it yourself the same way. The anchoring leg would then get installed under the tile as normal. I have long hair. Is there a drain cover you'd recommend that catches hair before it enters the drain pipe? Or a cover that can be easily removed to snake the drain? Thank you.

How is that waterproof since my understanding from your tech department and field reps is that kerdi fix on kerdi or kerdiboard is not a waterproof connection since it doesn't interface with the fleece the same way as thinset does?

Jason Hamilton my thought exactly. And one thing I see on this video that isn’t right as far as applying. You really want to embed your band to the kerdifix first then into the thinset. Other wise you risk oozing thinset pass the k-fix.
