Order the part. Like someone else commented, followed the video too closely and was wrapping things up when I saw that there were two sets of screws left. Looked around couldn't recall where those two extra screw set came from. Started the video again to see where they might of come from. Like the other person stated, the end of the video never covered the replacement of the heat shield. Found that on the side of my washer away from the dryer. Took everything apart again to install the heat shield and then finished up. Took about 1 1/2hr to complete. It's very helpful to have a second set of hands to help out. Someone else stated that they need someone to hold the drum when putting the belt back on and it's true. I was using my leg to hold up the drum, while putting the belt on again for the second time on the tension/pull system. So far the best video. Others don't even give you a heads up on how to start. They just start the video with everything out. Long drawn out talking then putting the wheels on and more talking about I don't know what and the end. Good job. Please update with the missing last step.

Saved me from what I thought was going to be a very expensive dryer replacement. Thanks a million for the very thorough and easy to follow video!!!

Did I miss a part of the video where he puts the heat shield back on? I watched it over and over expecting to see him putting it back on. I never did see him do it. In my excitement of doing my own repair and following along, pausing it only to complete the task, I did it exactly as he did. Then, to my complete shock and frustration, I see the heat plate sitting on top of my washer! I now have to start all over again! Taking everything apart down to the heat plate so I can put it back on! Then seal it all up again! I'm so disappointed I didnt do it right my 1st time. Lesson learned: dont follow video too closely, mistakes can still be made even by the professional. Thanks for the details and the how to, I did learn a lot!

Thanks a million! Just replaced these and our dryer is running fine again. NOTE for all of you doing this repair: The video neglected to instruct us to replace the heat shield over the left roller bearing. Remember to do this *before* putting the drum back in and completing the repair.

Amazing, thank u so much. I had to replace both drum rollers and belt. Works like a million bucks. Saved my family from buying new dryer.

There are no ball bearings, the metal sleeves in the rollers are the bearings. The sleeve bearings are oil impregnated and as they heat up the oil is released. When the oil is gone they start to squeak, squeal and fail. If they shafts have grooves worn in them its best to replace them so they dont cause the new bearing to wear unevenly.

These guys are my go-to for appliance repair information, but getting the belt back on the motor was way harder than it looks in this video. You need one hand to grip the belt, one hand to bend the idler pulley, and a third to hold the drum up and out of the way. I used a flatheaded screwdriver to lever the belt into position and slide it onto the motor (and my foot to hold up the drum since I was already on my side on the floor). It was a pain, but my dryer is now running quietly again.

Thanks!! Just bought the part for cheap ( 25$) and it's running great, no more banging and shaking!

Worked great on my dryer, which I think is slightly older than the one depicted here. Had to press my wife into service to get the front back on due to ridiculous smallness of our laundry area. Other than that, smooth sailing.

Mother's machine was making noises, peeked inside, saw metal shavings on right support roller so ordered the kit. Kit arrived, noticed there are no bearings on those rollers so the wear must be the shaft. Guess I will have to order a shaft now since she lives way out in the woods, away from any stores to buy such parts, and can't afford to make 2 trips or leave her machine tore apart. Were those rollers supposed to have bearings? They have steel sleeves, I would expect brass if no bearing???

iT wouldve been cool if you showed a comparison of what a worn or damaged drum roller looked liked or if you ran the deer so that the viewers can MATCH the sound that you have with what they're also hearing from their dryer. Mine is a LDR3822PQ1 . I took the back part off its two gray looking things one the left is where that lint holder is and I cleaned that out but once I put it back together and turned on the dryer its making this horrible noise. I have a video on my channel Whirlpool etc.

What kind of noise is it making and can you tell what area of the dryer it is coming from?

you will never have to replace the rear retainer triangle clips. they simply do not break or wear. and that skid plate idle pulley is a joke. they cut belts, you should have recommended replacing that idler with a normal wheel one.
