Thank you sooooo much! I bought new brushes but the brush holders had some grit stuck in them that was hampering the movement. I followed your instructions and was able to take them out, clean them and put in the new ones. Now I have my +25 year-old Kitchenaid back and I'm so happy!

You're video's always make me laugh. You say it's not difficult. Not difficult for who? If you have viewers that require instructions to remove the beater and bowl they should be advised not to go near this project. That being said it is the best video I've seen on this machine. With this video alone , and a little know how, you can service every part on this machine. Well done.

Mi dispiace, non effettuiamo spedizioni internazionali. Potresti dover verificare con il produttore per trovare un distributore locale di pezzi di ricambio da cui ottenere il pezzo.

This video is great, it explains everything so in detail. I have dissembled my Kitchenaid artisan because the plastic push rod melted and the speed control didn't work anymore. There was still electricity but once I changed it assembled it again with the replacement, somehow there is no electricity whatsoever. What could be the reason?

What is your model number?
@maryam31072 ай бұрын
@ it’s the kitchen aid artisan. I bought it two years ago. It’s pretty new. The grease is white
@appliancepartspros2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, without the model number we are unable to look up specific information for your unit. We can provide basic information. You can double check that the correct part was ordered and installed. Then double check the installation of the part to make sure it was installed correctly. If that is good you will need to check for damaged or loose wiring.

Thank you for the video! I received a ksm90 model that did not turn on. After replacing the motor brush assembly, I was able to get power, but only when the lever is on the off position. The motor doesn't work when the lever is on any of the actual speeds. Any idea where I went wrong?

I put part of the speed control lever back in backwards in case anyone comes across this same problem...

You can also put the brushes back in based on where the little notch is cut out, as explained at 12:50 and 13:20.

It's also demonstrated at 27:20 and 27:51

Based on the huge price of a kitchenaid mixer and reputation of it, the fact that it still uses a brush motor is appalling and outright scam. Buyers believe they receive a great product when in fact they receive a severely outdated one, but nicely polished on the outside and using the image made half a century ago, when that product was first made.
@gizzyguzzi11 ай бұрын
I'd rather have a serviceable motor like this. But they do make a brushless motor that you can just throw the whole motor assembly away. I'd rather buy an old model, they are serviceable indefinitely.
@gizzyguzzi11 ай бұрын
This is a good video for complete disassembly. I don't think it's necessary to pull the planetary and break the two halves of the machine apart to get to the brush holders. You can just go in from the rear end and pull the armature. You can reach the coil wires with needle nose pliers and remove the coil, all from the rear.
@appliancepartspros11 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tips. Some models you may not be able to do that. Our videos are just to help give a general idea on how to do the repair.

Can you get to the brush holders on a K5SS from the rear without pulling the planetary?
