Before I retired, I always wanted to learn this move. I did the belly variant to get used to rotation, it was the tuck in from the stab that held me back for the longest time. I just couldn't get used to it, so I wasn't really able to add much to my power arsenal back when I was breaking regularly.

I tried this after a hard workout lol, arms are already too wore out. This definitely takes some upper body and core strength.

Its been 5 months now, but you have to start from bent knees to fully extend your legs. It takes some time to get body used to elbow levers/baby freezes etc. Keep practicing.

Hey there, so for some reason, I tend to slide a lot when kicking over onto my back instead of just rolling over like you do, which I think often messed up my mill, any suggestions as to that?

Is do a back spin counterclockwise so should I be mimicking the same directions as you or will it be easier for me to try the opposite direction

Definitely easier if u do the windmill in the same direction like u spin the backspin💪🏼 both is possible though

I really want to learn this and i'm tryng hard, but it just hurts too much. I can't even tuch my shoulder genty without feeling pain. I don't know what to do. Is 80kg too heavy to do this? I'm fit but idk maybe my weight is a problem?

Hey man. No I dont think that your weight is the problem, but maybe the impact/speed with which u hit the floor. It always hurts in the beginning though, so dont give up. All the best, Viktor

So I like to spin counter clockwise but I learned the turtle freeze in the opposite direction and now I can't even continue the windmill until I fix one of these, I'm so frustrated with myself

Dont worry man! Learning the turtle freeze the other side is uncomfortable but u will learn it much faster - give it a week to feel well! 💪🏼

My biggest problem was always my right ankle hitting the ground when rolling onto hand (Clockwise)... Horrible split flexibility, and i have long legs, shorter torso build.

Back then when I practiced windmill I hurt my back instead of my head There was always bruises on the back from the side that I drop on the ground (I practiced on a very hard ground)

Most likely you are landing on your side and lower back instead of upper back and shoulders. Unfortunately I am in a similar boat, as I suck at doing windmill 😕

I feel you! Had 100% the same in the beginning. With practice you learn to keep yourself safe while spinning on top of the shoulder blades. 💪🏼

It's not as easy as it looks, for a person with good physics probably they will achieve this faster....but for a normal person it probably wont

I would say NOT BEGINNER FRIENDLY! ⚠ It take a tremendous amount of strength and it’s very difficult to lift your legs whilst on basically 1 arm
