Hi, just wondering if we need the white connection (which basically connects the LED in parallel to the effect circut). Couldn't we treat the middle row of the switch separately just for LED and not connecting it to the other rows?

Or just include LED somewhere in the effect circut? I'm thinking if it's possible to build true bypass effect with LED but using just 2PDT instead of 3PDT which are quite expensive

@@wiktorkowalski99 well it depends on what you are making the way most pedals are made is that the pedal is always on and you are just selecting the effect and the led light is just there for that in some cases you don't need the white wire and in some you do so if you want to have the led on the effect the switch would have to be wired to be a turn on/off power switch and a bypass this video is more of a general overview it won't work on everything you could possibly build but see if you can find 3pdt switches for a better price that works better for you I'll look into to it and see if I can come up with a simple general way to wire a 2pdt switch with a led 🙂

What about a 12v power source would it be the same. I basically need a 12v power source to be powered on and while on activate a source.

Well it's hard to say as I don't know what it is but what I am showing you here is just leting the signale go from one Jack to another and the v power is in the source so it should work as long as the source works
