When I bore with a speed bote or forstner bit I like to give the cutting edges a touch up with a diamond hone , or needle files so they cut , not scrape I attended a demo at my club , presented by Rudy Lopez , making his tiny stemmed goblets , he bored the cup with an 1 3/8" twist drill , it gives the bottom a rounded bottom , without , hollowing . I am sure you have been turning for years, , but blowing shavings out of hollowed ware is quick , but it aerosolizies the dust , and can be inhaled deeply, without realizing it. I love your presentations

Great video. The wooden clamp you used on the bandsaw, so useful, what would you call that? I'm looking for something similar.

Nice work. Before you cut the end of the handle off, I would have remounted it and worked on getting the wall thickness down a bit more. Just me

Nice video Dean. I have the same belt sander, but I have it in the upright position. I have to adjust my belt every time I turn it on, do you? If you don't, do you have any tips on it? Thanks.
@DeansWoodworking3 жыл бұрын
Joseph first Thank you for watching!!! I don't have any problems with the belt. however I do have some tips. Make small adjustments let it run for several minutes make another small adjustment. the key word is small, it is easy to adjust too much and it will go too far and then the other way and some times it takes a few minutes for it to start its sideways run. I hope this helps. patience is the key.
