He said that getting into academia or becoming a professor should be stated as the reason for doing a PhD will make more sense to them and increase my chances. What are your thoughts? Hi Vee, thank you for this information. I need help regarding applying to different schools e.g 5 uni at the same time. Yes, the personal statement or sop may vary because of what they require, and even the number of pages and length. Some require 2-3 pages, some 1-2 with 500 words specifically. I'm struggling on how to write 1 specific statement then tailor it to each specific university because of the length of the statements. Kindly advise on how to go about this. Most of the schools I'm applying to the deadline for Fall 2023 is this December 😢. Thanks a lot for helping us out!
