Except I didn't speak their language, like you :). But most of them wrote impeccable papers, just needed vocabulary and audience captivating support, for the most part. Thank you for this!! Oh, I've made a 170 lines of notes in notepad++. Hope I'll understand that tomorrow. What I'm concerned of is that by writing the Introduction in the end, may lead a researcher to answers he was thinking he is trying to resolve in Method, Results & Discussion. SO basically with NO proper research of the background, how can anybody think of doing something new to the world... :D It can save you tons of time :)

The introduction discusses the problem, background, and gaps in the literature. The methods explain how the study was conducted, the results present the findings, and the discussion explains the meaning of the findings and their implications. - 6:41: The structure of a research paper includes an introduction, methods, results, and discussion. - 7:07: The introduction discusses the problem, background, and gaps in the literature. - 7:55: The methods section explains how the study was conducted. - 8:52: The results section presents the important findings of the study. - 9:04: The discussion section explains the meaning of the findings, their importance, and implications. - 9:33: The discussion may also include limitations and suggestions for future research. 13:25: 📝 The first step before writing the section is to prepare the figures and tables, which are the core data of the research paper. Then, the methods section should be written, describing the experiment, procedures, analysis methods, and measurements. - 13:25: Gather and create figures and tables to represent the core data of the research paper. - 13:48: Provide captions and numbers for the figures and tables in the order they will be discussed in the paper. - 14:23: Write the methods section, describing the experiment, procedures, analysis methods, and measurements. - 14:50: Organize the methods section chronologically or from most to least important. - 16:35: Use passive voice and past tense in the methods section. - 17:10: Do not discuss the results, only focus on how the study was conducted. 20:06: 📝 This sample discusses the organization and content of the methods section in a research paper. - 20:06: Headings can be used in the methods section to organize the paper and guide the reader. - 20:40: The materials used in the study should be clearly described, including their source and procurement. - 21:20: The methods section should use a variety of verbs to avoid repetition. - 21:31: The preparation of the materials should be explained in detail, including the specific actions taken. - 22:01: The methods of analysis should be described first, followed by any quantified details or measurements. - 26:05: The methods section should not include information about research findings. 27:15: 📊 The results section of a research paper should present findings in the same order as the methods and answer the research question, using figures and tables to report the data. - 27:15: Results should be organized in the same order as the methods and should answer the research question. - 28:47: The main result should be followed by secondary results and details. - 30:48: Captions for figures and tables should start with a noun and describe what the figure or table is measuring. - 31:05: The text should refer to the figures and tables and provide more details about the data. - 31:44: The results section should address research questions and discuss the analysis methods used. - 32:38: Figures and tables should be used to present the data visually. 37:33: 📊 The discussion section of a research paper focuses on the importance and implications of the results. - 37:33: The discussion section should sell the study and explain its importance. - 39:27: Organize the discussion section with clear paragraphs and separate ideas. 47:04: 📚 The introduction section of a research paper establishes the context, purpose, and approach of the study. - 47:04: The introduction should state the problem being solved and the existing knowledge on the topic. - 47:51: It should discuss the limitations of existing solutions and present the hypothesis or research question. - 48:10: The main content found in the results and discussion should be previewed without including the data. 48:44: 💡 The introduction of a research paper should address the gap in knowledge, explain the importance of the study, and present the hypothesis or research question. - 48:44: Break down the introduction into two main questions: the knowledge gap and the importance of the study. - 49:19: Include background information, motivations, relevant literature, hypothesis, and research approaches in the introduction. - 49:57: Use highly relevant sources and keywords from the paper title in the introduction. - 52:34: Define key terms and provide a general review of the primary research literature. - 55:00: State the statement of purpose using clear signal phrases. 1:02:06: 📝 The biggest grammar mistake in writing is the misuse of determiners, specifically articles. - 1:02:06: Uncountable nouns do not use articles. - 1:02:30: If an uncountable noun is specific, use 'the'. - 1:02:55: Use 'the' with noun + preposition structures. 1:03:29: 📚 The video provides guidance on using articles, nominalizations, and past/present tense in scientific writing. - 1:03:29: Use 'a' or 'an' for countable nouns and 'no article' for uncountable nouns. - 1:05:28: Avoid using nominalizations and convert them to main verbs for clearer writing. - 1:09:02: Use past tense for prior research and present tense for general facts or when discussing your own study. 1:09:57: 💡 The use of past or present tense in academic writing depends on the style guide being used. - 1:09:57: Different style guides have different rules for using past or present tense in academic writing. - 1:10:02: APA and AMA use past tense, while MLA uses present tense. - 1:10:19: Many studies have confirmed the affinity between carbon and nitrogen. -
