How to write in cursive 1/3

I wanted to share with everyone who would like to learn how to write in cursive. Try to memorize writing a~z connected. Once you learn to connect the alphabet, you're pretty much done. After you've learned the alphabet, try to write words, starting with your own name.

I'm so glad we were forced to learn this in first and second grade. Thought it was hell back then and now twelve years later I wrote in cursive for the first time since and it was still there in the back of my head. A little hard at first but it came back, like riding a bicycle for the first time. Writing is a powerful tool children, don't let it become a lost art!

What I've learned. Write slowly many times, until it becomes natural to my hand. Having said that, my writing is still bad, to a point embarrassing. It just gets worse when I write in a hurry. Writing practice gives me a calming effect

look fantastic! Though I myself have good handwriting, I never wrote 'a, c, d, q, g " starting with a semi circle, but I just find it a better way to gracefully shape these letters and at the same time without needing to raise the pen! Thanks you 've taught us some good techniques.

Thanks for the upload. I think we learned cursive in 4th grade, but I got the Math/Science teacher and the other 4th grade class got English/Art teacher, so my class never got the chance to learn cursive. I always wanted to perfect my w-r transition as in "wr"ite.

We used to be taught this around ages 5-6. I write in cursive regularly (I'm 22) but my little sister (18) doesn't remember much of any of it. It's sad how penmanship is no longer considered important :(

That's basic cursive... you should already know it. Unless you're a 5 year old or you're from a country that doesn't use the latin alphabet.

Actually I am NOT a five year old. I just don't write like that. It mentioned it in a book I have but I never knew what it looked like.

here's a challange! try to write this word it cursive: WRITE ALL LOWER CASE LETTERS. I put the word in capital letters because it would be easier to see. the word write has to be connected. sorry people if you think that this is impressive. Pen is held in wrong position per Spencerian Penmanship & Palmer method. Loops are inconsistent. Angle of letters varies. Going back in history, when cursive was taught in public schools, the writing presented would be acceptable for a 3rd grader.
