Perform the following on the Desktop or within a Finder window.
Zip a single file:
Right mouse click on the file and choose Compress.
This will produce a zip file with the same name.
Zip multiple files:
Select them.
Right mouse click on one of the selected files and choose Compress.
This will produce a zip file with the name "Archive.zip".
Unzip a zip file:
Double click on it.
