I am working at being more comfortable with solo single track...doing double track and loving it...ATGAT including inreach.

Spent the last year riding almost entirely solo, I'll avoid exposure to big falls but I like riding the technical stuff. I wear all possible protection, ride slow, focus on technique and carry a Garmin inReach device for emergency S.O.S., messaging my wife "ok" every 60 mins and sharing my location live via MapShare. Also I wear an Apple Watch with fall detection enabled which could come in handy if I'm knocked unconscious and within cell service. All said and done, the risk seems acceptable to me, riding buddies are great but it's a real joy to ride entirely when you want, where you want and how you want!

I have the inreach mini as well. It’s great for sending a quick text, since 95% of my riding areas have zero cell service.

Great demonstration of bike control, as well as self control while riding solo.

Awesome footage and riding!

That was a bit tricky for an alone ride but I applaud you. When I solo ride I try to keep the speed low and look at an obstacle and think "if I get stuck can I get out on my own?"

Wow - that looked very difficult! Certainly wouldn’t want to get hurt on that while alone (or with others either). Beautiful area.

Cool video, what great terrain you ride in. I ride solo a lot and always take it easy. I typically stay within 10 miles of staging and avoid anything too hairy. Awesome drone footage btw 👍✌️

I use to ride solo all the time at a nearby trail (my bikes plated). But after breaking a bone last year with a group of guys and realized how screwed I would be solo I haven’t done it since.

I will ride pretty hard trails, but what I do avoid is trails with a lot of exposed sidehill. I wouldn't want to slide off and have to drag a bike back up solo.

Same! Exposure worries me more than most other obstacles. I’ll still ride it solo, but I’m extra careful.

@@WASemiHardEnduro oh really. I run a standard gt333 I didnt know they came in gummy. I was going to run Kenda ibex as my next tyre. Maybe I'll give these a run, as I love the 333 already. thanks man 🤙🏻

@@brynnjones3703 It’s brand new and hard to find - slavens has them. I also like the IRCs, the VE33s and ix-09w. JX8 is next on my list to try.

@@WASemiHardEnduro yeah I thought they were new. Haven't been riding I tore my ACL 😭 I'm in Australia its really hard/expensive to get a VE33s. I think a local store is importing the JX8's soon maybe I should check them too

Ive done quite a bit of riding over the last 20 years in Washington but the randomly placed picnic tables are definitely something I haven’t come across yet. Are you keeping this location quiet ?

Not smart, you get hurt or bike break down, you would spend the night in the woods… how prepared are you, is the question!??!!
