I just tried a kunafa for the first time today... It's the best dessert I've had, ever. Also, can I just say that I appreciate you taking the time, and patience, and general gentleness. As well as the aesthetic, and the music. Lovely video, *chef's kiss*

I have never heard of Kunafa before, but as soon as I read that it was a desert then I became interested :) Now that is what I like to see, a bit of innovation, using a pair of pliers to rotate the dish 😁 That's my way of cooking!! That's an awful lot of work that goes in to making a Kunafa, isn't it? The cooking process has to be supervised throughout. It almost looked like you were going to need a pair of scissors to cut the cheese at the end 😀
@HungryManKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Indeed, it's not difficult but you need to be hands on all the time :)

The grape molasses is an interesting choice? What purpose does it serve?

It is indeed optional, but often used in Turkey for kunefe to give it a nice caralemized color and flavor on the outside.

Arabic dessert since the era of the Umayyads .. And it was called at that time "Kunafah Muawiya" named after Caliph Muawiyah ..it is not Turkish.
